Ruth played marimba and vibraphone here. She never actually played xylophone w Zappa, but those are nerdy details.

The fantastic Claymation is by Bruce Bickford,. The Guacamole Queen was a woman who worked at the Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin, Texas where the live portions of the Bongo Fury album were recorded, she baked guacamole cookies and treats for the bands and people that worked there. That was an early synthesizer that George Duke was adjusting, not a mixing board. Ruth is Ruth Underwood, one of the best percussionists to ever grace the face of the planet. Great reaction, Thanx!

@@NihinduAngana FWIW, she (Ruth) is playing a Marimba and a Vibraphone, part of the xylophone family but different in that there are resonating tubes below each key that enhances the notes played.

The funny flute sound you commented on after the guitar solo is actually flute, marimba and synth playing in unison. Great reaction! Welcome yo the rabbit hole!

It's a marimba (wood) not xylophone (metal). Played by Ruth Underwood. Great review!

Actually xylo means wood. Perhaps you're thinking of the glockenspiel.

This song is about a theory that the Nazca lines were built by aliens. And it answers that the Indians first on the bill carved up the hill!

The pleated gazelle it's a great RU-vid page with plenty of live Frank Zappa. #thePleatedGazelle welcome my son to the world of Frank Zappa one of the greatest composers of the 20th century actually who just happened to be a rock and roller amongst other things. Which means he grew up with rock and roll and is also a classical music composer which is unheard of in rock and roll pretty much.🤠🥓⚔️🛡️🇺🇸🦅🥄 Just remember this song is about the Nazca lines in Peru look it up
