So it's vitally important to remember what the IT does. It creates the ideal world for the person trapped inside where everything bad that happened never did and everything is perfect... its designed to make the victim feel joy. This is a major problem for Vader as his mental defenses are from channeling the dark side which he needs hatred for but all around him is joy and love meaning his mental defenses weaken which makes the illusion dig in deeper, which makes him happy which weakens his mental defenses more and the illusion digs in deeper Vader has shown mental resistance to illusions but he often needed time to gather his hatred for that the IT wouldn't do that... its an instant checkmate

It's also worth noting that whole Vader is definitely capable of breaking illusion, the infinite tsukuyomi is almost a perfect counter to Vader because it gives him what his heart desire. It doesn't seeks to irritate or offend him, it only wants to make him happy, and that's the big trap, because once Vader is happy, he stop hating, and when he stop hating he's no longer in tune with the dark side of the force.

Nothing can be unbeat in these vsbattles fights, problem is that the Infinite Tsukuyomi had feats surpassing anything Disney Vader had gone up against. And this wasn't close, not by a longshot. Simply put, once they decided to give Obito the 10-Tails form there was no conceivable way for Vader to put Obito down. Obito needed the 10-Tails to even have a shot because his jutsu couldn't cut it. They needed to bring in Legends canon, but then we'd have the opposite problem. Obito was immortal & had hyper regeneration. Honestly, this was the best/most entertaining way this fight could have happened even if it fucked Vader over.

@@roobyrne3075 oh I know. I read that comic, and here's some problem I have with that. we're comparing an illusion made by a kyber crystal to Tsukuyomi, one of the strongest genjutsu in the world. Next, it did not show him a good life, it was trying to persuade him to turn to the light side by creating a what-if scenario where Vader realized the error of his way, goes back to palpatine, kills him, then finds obi-wan and kneels to beg him for forgiveness. that is not a good life. That's trying to convince a naturally arrogant and prideful person that they're wrong. Lastly, the Tsukuyomi has intrinsic knowledge of its victim's deepest desire and builds a dream world based on it. The nature of the dark side of the force and the way ofthe Sith promotes indulgence of raw emotion. If they found a world of endless pleasures, by their own tenet, they are obliged to give into their desire. And even if Vader does choose to break out of his world, the sheer fact that he can be affected by the kyber crystal illusions proves that he doesn't have total immunity to mental attack. In a battle where both side can ice each other within a blink of an eye, every second matters. If Vader gets tripped up for even a second by an illusion, that second is all Obito would need to tag him with the truth-seeking orb.

It is the strongest genjustu and can only be casted by those who have powers of the gods in the Naruto series. It's an inescapable genjustu and the only way out is if you either have a rinnagan or somebody from the outside that has a rinnagan deactivates the genjustu.

It's bullshit, Obito has never activated the Infinite Tsukoyoumi in Canon, it was Madara. Also Ten Tails Obito in Canon is by outside help. This battle was rigged.

And infinite tsukuyomi and to answer @thesexynerdreacts Vader wouldn’t be able to stop the illusion from the infinite tsukuyomi there are many characters in Naruto who’s entire specialty is breaking out of illusion and breaking genjutsu and the infinite tsukuyomi was a multi layered genjutsu strong enough to put the entire world under its power Vader doesn’t have nearly enough mental resistance to stop it and if that wasn’t enough he has Izanami which lets him rewrite reality for the cost of going blind in one eye so even if Vader did find a way to kill him he could just uni reverse card and say “nah that actually never happened”

technically Obito didn't need to launch the infinite Tsukuyomi at all throughout this fight, it was all for narrative. the crux of the moon eye plan is to project the image of the Tsukuyomi onto the moon to affect everyone in the shinobi world. since all Obito needed was to only affect one person, he can just hit Vader with the regular Tsukyomi.
