Can you imagine this? When Blade Runner came out a whole movie studio spent a ton of money to create the opening of the movie and now we can play with this.
I actually had a dream of you, last night. Nothing weird, just you were living out of your suitcase in a building across from an acting school and I came over while you were editing. Then we went onto the balcony for a smoke. And opposite from your building, which was tilted and had like holes in the balcony and wood falling off, there were people dancing and fake smiling, because they were in the acting school. We stared at them while smoking and they were literally just an arms length away, yet didn't care. Just kept dancing like maniacs while we had a discussion about rubber paint, which apparently was something you had invented. I was trying to convince you to support my webtoon, which is actually the one thing that's real in all of this, because I am drawing a comic. I didn't watch any videos since you went to Japan (shame on me) and I didn't get recommended any videos on YT's splashpage and was also busy myself. So imagine my happy surprise when this popped up just now and reminded me to share my weird dream. GZ
Showed up at the Pyramid hotel absolutely blasted and it was wild. When I woke up the next morning, I still thought I was looking out at Memphis through the window, until I saw the big pond and escalators. Sadly Memphis doesn't have anywhere near enough neon outside of Beale Street. Get the pineapple upside down shot at Jerry Lawlyer's wrestling bar btw. Avoid Hard Rock's raspberry wine cocktail. The heirloom salad with salmon at the rooftop restaurant in the Pyramid is good if you're a pretentious hipster like me.
Interesting how much people are criticizing this game for being exactly what it was aiming to be. A simple, cozy cyberpunk city builder. Can't please everyone I guess
As there's no management aspect to the game, it definitely needs more creative freedom. Stackable and modular building types could do wonders in that area.
I'll play this before bed, it definitely puts my mind into a chill, nocturnal vibe. I don't think I could play this during the day lol. There needs to be more buildings though
Why are people being so harsh in the comments? Its meant to be a relaxing experience not a management sim. Besides its 6 bucks I'd say thats a good price point.
@@wleon4068 There's a difference between thematically dark and literally dark. You can have a 'dark' dystopian setting that's bright enough to see in. It could even be a sunny day.
Olay a couple update ideas, 4 more factions, current factions have more variety, spaceships/space port that summons huge space ships. The picture holograms can accept pictures STRAIGHT from your computer(infinite possibilities🤪) planes maybe but they not needed and finally different planet settings like pluto or Neptune like neomuna from destiny 2😆
This would be perfect for re-constructing my hometown in ShadowRun; the Omega Corp pyramid has that Aztechnologies look (which has a definite presence where I am from).
"soviet era architecture" you do know that most of europe were building those types of buildings. the russians just took our type of architecture that we used to build our suburbs that are now know as ghettos and applied it to their cities but instead of being ghettos it just became "normal" houses for them. sweden started building what we call brutalist/ghetto architecture in the late 50s. between 1965 and 1975 sweden built one million apartments when they were extending the cities and building the suburbs. its a record that i don't think has been broken anywhere in the world even today. it was called "miljonprogrammet" look it up. so the point is, it's not soviet or russian architecture. they just copied other modern countries in europe
I love the aesthetic of this game but I wish it had more actual gameplay. I suppose the best we've got is still SimCity 2013 CoT. Skid Cities comes close but it still needs a lot of work.
Mmmmmh I was wondering when you would cover this game It has definitely more to give than I expected. It's like a cyberpunk-Bob Ross building hahaha, and I'm now seriously considering getting it. Thanks Raptor
too be honest, it didnt look all that impressive. It would be better if they took the simcity approach of zoning areas and watch the city grow but then take that concept a lot further by being able to influence areas of zones and reap benefits and rewards by creating higher cohesion in the society that organicialt grows around the micro and macro decisions you make all in the futuristic cyberpunk world. You can hire mercs and corporation to sabotosh or take out criminals, gangs, rogue corps / local government, or you can flip to the dark side and make a city of crime that reaps other nefarious benefits with the local police, merc, or corporation trying to take out your influence and power then have you removed from power. Would be an awesome game and super unique to the genre and predecessors.
Why does the word dystopia even exist? Humanity can build what ever is within our means to achieve yet to suggest that any deviation from a best case scenario should be a destination that's intentionally developed and acceptable is the only reason such a word exists.....! it exists because we use it to communicate a false sense of scale that is generated of our willingness to invest in producing less than the best possible outcome...because the word exists in our vocabulary is exists within our lives....!
Seems interesting but also very confused on what it is actually supposed to be, as far as I can tell from the vod, very barebones still and very dark. Doesn't really seem like an actual simulator or so even but just some type of background generator with baseline features. Well, that's just from the vod. Maybe the actual store page would be more clear on what it really is. As is, interesting and can be pretty but also lackluster, generally speaking.
A game that consists of a mostly black screen🤔What gameplay is there besides putting labels on mostly black buildings after placing them on a mostly black background?🤔
