That is a pretty neat body. Not sure if I can fit that in my to do list, but you never know.

It's hard to pick a favorite. The TRX4 is great for all around RC fun. It tends to be a bit top heavy so keep it in mind if you do get it and go crawling. The SCX10II is built for serious trail driving and works great right out of the box. There is lots of aftermarket support for the SCXII and its improving quickly for the TRX4.

RCDriver_Online Yeah I just want to play with something fun, I'm new to the hobby. Does the axial have automatic locking differentials like the TRX4? And throttle adjustment? I'm not really looking for the ultimate crawler, just turn on and miniature 4x4.

Great you are getting into the hobby! The new Traxxas 4-Tec 2.0 is a pretty cool on-road machine. They also offer a Rally car if you want both on-road performance or flat off-road/dirt fun.

Traxxas does have some other less expensive models and they are water resistant.

Oh, we're way past the old school 5 minute run days. Many cars can run 15,20, 30 minutes on a LiPo pack. Some trail trucks can run for hours.

I have a trx 4 and you can get a good lips on it to last 5 and a bit hours

I got a 7650 and I cant run it out! Not running all day, but makes an awesome change from the old days when (whatever the mah was..) the bastard would run out in 10mins. Still, I loved that old Tamiya Grasshopper. After that was one of the first Traxxas buggies :)

It all depends on what you are driving on. Open flat terrain, unlock the diffs and use high gear. For rough crawling, lock the diffs and use low gear. It's all selectable on the fly so you can adjust the truck as you go.

shorty 1995 mine does wheelies with the Titian 12t but like the 25t can do donuts but slow enough to still crawl for a fraction of the price of any Traxxas

I have over 30 RC's I'm a sponcered racer for hobbywing and Team Associated. Also have the new by far best basher the Redcat tr-MT8E Be6s way funner then my Xmaxx. When it comes to crawling it's more about just chillin with your friend out camping or compition and making it your own. So don't knock till you try it cause I thought I would hate it clear back before they made short course truck's in to racing circuit. It's actually super cool to just hang drink some beer and hang with your friends and crawl around. Also I don't have to roll my 3 real Jeep's to just enjoy check out Axialfest 2017 in Lake Tahoe my home town crawling is great. Oh By the way I have the Losi Rock Rey that would tear both your trucks a new one one on 3s

Agreed bad review please be REAL use your own thought when reviewing the part of the video where you RISKED breaking the truck by submerging it under water. You only risked it because you were given the rig for free from Traxxas to give them a positive review. Thumbs down

Hi Fabio, Traxxas did not pay for this review. The truck was given to us, and was made known in some other videos we've done on the truck and RU-vid Cards were placed in this video directed to those other videos. But the review here is unbiased and I'm guessing that the 294 likes vs 16 dislikes at the time of this response back up the credibility of the review. I address other cons within this review, they were the limits of the servo, the pricing and the high CG and I even showed the truck having problems with the servo and CG. The thing here is I am reviewing the product for its intended buyer. With over 20 years of reviewing products under my belt and being a part of the RC industry, I understand the target audience of products. Traxxas spends millions of dollars a year at Nascar events, drag events, moto-cross events and so on. All to get the new person into the hobby. This new person wants "neat features" and general useability and the locking diffs offer that versatility. Is it unnecessary for the experienced trail truck driver? Yes. But the focus for Traxxas is getting people into RC with a good experience wherever they use their RC so they can continue in the hobby. We took that into consideration when choosing the direction of this review. All of our reviews; Tamiya, ProLine, Arrma, Duratrax, Losi... are positioned to speak to the intended buyer of the product. We have more plans for the TRX-4 including modifying the truck for use within the hands of the experienced hobbiest and will will address the removal of parts we feel are unnecessary at that time. When it comes down to it, I'm a fan of the truck as is. Again, with over 20 years in reviewing products and having a website over 14 years old, getting free products means nothing to us. But providing valuable information for viewers and readers is and is really what allows us to keep doing what we do. If you don't like our style, I'm not offended and I do appreciate you taking the time to share your opinion. RU-vid is full of great creators that may speak better to your specific RC needs. Agreed. I still think that the RC4WD Landrover Defender 110 is the best scale RC model.

There should be a clear disclaimer in the beginning or in the text under the video that you didn't pay for the rig.

Did you drive this rig? I do. And I enjoy most of it with unlocked diffs! It is so more manoeuvrable ! Also makes obstacles more challenging, locking the diffs as a last resources only. It transforms any trail in a more action scale trail.
