WOW.. TOOL "Intermission" and "Jimmy" | REACTION 

I think this song has one of my favorite lines from a Tool song: "I'll move to heal as soon as pain allows so we can reunite and both move on together"

It’s never been confirmed but the Patient is also assumed to be about his mother’s undying faith despite her misery.

An underrated track imo, very intense

Jimmy has always been my favorite Tool song. I don't think it's their BEST song... but it's the song that got me hooked back around 1998.

The bass in this song absolutely drives the emotion so deep it's just crazy...It's masterful really!

Nice new intro Emp, Jimmy is so awesome, it’s about adult Maynard dealing with the same inner child trauma regarding his mother’s health. When he was 11 she had a stroke that left her partially paralyzed and had to use a wheel chair. It’s not been confirmed but supposedly Maynard was sent to stay with family for a few years when she did physical therapy. Maynard’s original name was James Herbert Keenan, he changed it to Maynard James Keenan since his mother called him Jimmy as a boy. He did not want to be called Jimmy if he became famous but kept it as his middle name out of respect to her. Supposed Maynard was the name of a character of a book Maynard liked as a kid.

Intermission’s melody carries over into “Jimmy” ……one of my favorites (11) 🌀👁🌀

Very deep song. It must be both heart-wrenching and therapeutic to sing.

30 year old Maynard going back and dealing with the trauma he experienced at 11, so that he could heal, He embodies his lyrics with emotion, it gets in you, you feel his pain, one of my favorite Tool Tunes. Rumored to be the inspiration for the character "11" on Stranger Things, the brother who produce the show are know Tool and Metal fans

Maynard is the definition of intention. This is the kick-off point of the series of songs about his mother through all three of his bands.

Love Tooldays! Great reaction. Underrated song about a very personal part of Maynards childhood.

That drill sgt. voice coming on at the end always got me. I bought the album the day it was released in Canada and even as a very young man, this song brought to the edge of weeping

It's been suggested that Eleven, the mysterious character in Stranger Things was named after this song

Intermission supposedly represents his innocent childhood before his mother’s stroke. Jimmy hits with basically the same riff as the organ but obviously darker and heavier.

Good song

In the digital age of separate tracks it becomes less obvious, but when you hear these back to back with no delay it becomes evident that the melody starting Jimmy is the same as the one throughout Intermission.

you guys literally have no idea about lyrics on each tool song.they are loud and clear but not for every ears. they are not just a band.much more than what u think.
