Oh, so that's why Prime vs. Prime made a scene of K.I.T.T punching Optimus in the face, 'cause he shares a similar voice to K.A.R.R? Lololololololol😂 Talk about a great joke punch line.
@@PrimeVsPrime I agree but they need bring back lights and sounds for Leader Class And the leader class needs to a size of old leader class not voyager class size.
He's not. This autobot is not KITT. This autobot is Agent Knight. Autobot who replaced KITT due to unknown reasons (maybe KITT was on vacation or was heavily damaged?). I think we should get his backstory like in case of Ectotron or Gigawat....
Early in the series, Hoff would often wear red/orange tinted sunglasses. Combine those with his bright bluejeans (this even has a silver buckle, and Hoff usually had a big belt buckle on), I’d say robot mode definitely looks like Hoff’s Michael Knight.
They were trying to refernce Hasslehoff's Michale Knight, complete w/shades & Blue Jeans. I agree though, "KiTT" would have been a more appropriate name.
So, should they call the DeLorean transformer Marty, or Doc instead of Gigawat? And what about Ectotron? Wouldn't some of the Ghostbusters names be better? Because not always do the toys need those official names from movies, TV shows and stuff. Also maybe licencing issues. Dunno, KITT might be licensed for official toys only and these crossovers, while being official for Transformers franchise might not be official for the Knight Rider property. I'm not expert on licensing, so no idea, why they decided to call him Agent Knight, instead of KITT, but it might be related to licensing issues.
KARR is KITT's Decepticon counterpart. Twins were created by Vector Sigma, in which the Autobots had 2 Trans Ams, one of which went rouge and joined the Decepticons.
No. This is stupid. Imagine KITT and KARR watching as some robots took their place for unknown reason. One is good and one is evil. Even this would be too much for (3v1L) KARR.
80s toygasm. I probably still have one of those small Bumblebees, from the original toy line, stored somewhere. Never knew these crossovers existed, Agent Knight looks awesome.
This is a must have for me. I love KITT. The Pontiac Firebird/Trans-Am is my favorite car. And I used to own a 1988 Firebird that looked like that. I wish I still had it. It's the only car I owned that I miss the hell out of.
The reason it's so out of scale with anything else is the electronics. If they made it smaller, the electronics would have taken up more of the figure, that would have most likely resulted in a horrible design (think mid 2000's gimmick Transformers). If they would have left the electronics out, that would have left more room under the hood for transformation. And let's give some praise to the pop-up headlights. That's a feature I don't remember ever seeing before in Transformers. Of course, it goes with the car model, but how many times does the vehicle mode have articulation? It's fantastic.
I think the Datsun-inspired transformation is quite fitting, as the Datsun 280ZX (also known as the Nissan Fairlady Z) was also strongly considered to "play" K.I.T.T. during pre-production of the show. They ultimately went with the brand new (at the time) Pontiac Trans Am, but apparently it was a close call. I love this figure, the only tiny letdowns are that K.I.T.T.'s tan interior isn't mirrored in some way in the robotmode, and neither is his super iconic voicebox. I would have expected the voicebox to become the mouthplate or something like that.
I would love to see a crossover with the General Lee, because that also was an iconic car from the 80s. I love both K.I.T.T and the General, such cool cars.
Awesome! So worthy for Knight Rider fan out there who fan both Transformers and Knight Rider franchise. So fantastic video, PrimevsPrime, transform and ROLL OUT 🤗!
I know it's a stretch, but I would love to see a whole series based on this, you could have this with an Optimus inspired Knight Industry's semi truck, then you could have KARR and Goliath for the Decepticons. It'll never happen, but it would be awesome to see.
I really hope Hasbro makes a K.A.R.R retool out of this figure with Optimus prime part and Peter Cullen voice phrases because Peter Cullen did voice act K.A.R.R in night rider
I swear you are capable of convincing people "watching paint dry" is the most exciting thing ever. You are so overly excited and amazed by every tiny little thing. It's funny. But he is a great figure! Thank you for your enthusiasm
Personally Id prefer it without the sound feature. With just the scanning light it would still be a good bonus for K.I.T.T. and that giant mass under the front bumper would be much smaller.
Got my preorder in for this guy. Hope with the massive interest they do a karr repaint later. Nice to know that you can keep the lightbar on by holding the button for 2 secs
Epic review PrimeVsPrime!! I personally think KITT-Basher would have been a more interesting name for this crossover figure. lol Great to see lights and sounds in a Transformers figure again. Keep on being amazing.
Ah!!! Finally! My journey will be complete!! At least for me, I have all the other cross-over figures, so having K.I.T.T next to the likes of the Delorian and Ecto-1, ahhh I'm so excited! And I assure you, at 46 years of age, not much can get me excited like my nostalgic childhood! 😂😂 Edit: Now that I looked through the comments, I agree, we're still missing the A-Team van, and Airwolf! 😂😂
Great review. I think this is going to need some Toy Hax. It bothers me though that, William Daniels isn't voicing it. I said the same thing about Playmobil K.I.T.T. I have that one too.
My only 2 complaints: 1) Obviously the voice. 2) Why does he need a comm watch? He's literally the car. Only Michael needed the watch to communicate with Kitt.
I hope they do a separate release without the light up feature as the battery pack makes the front look too beefy and I don't really need for an option to light him up. My personal opinion, but i would probably still buy this, amazing review.
