Я думаю что кривошипно-шатунный механизм, который превращает вращательное движение в возвратно-поступательное, в этой машине, не рассчитан на такие нагрузки и вскоре рассыпется.

Great transformation from a disused sewing machine to a woodworking tool: jig saw. You could have checked out if the blade was running truly vertical. Ensuring that would make your woodwork project more accurate.

Have you ever thought about making a potter's wheel out of a weighted weel stationary bike, all you have to do is weld a gear to the front wheel to change the direction of the spin then add a base for a potters head, head available thru AMACO add the cage and drip pan out of an animal feeder when you add the cage around the bike remove the existing seat and have a bench seat, that large of cage, foot pedal as you use the bike is still the same with the addition of the 1) gear 2) cage with seat 3) potters head and drip pan. you might need a few additional gears mounted on the underside of the potters head shaft. leave the potter's head original incase it needs to be changed out. If you like you can add an electric motor but the rpm needs to be between 60 and 70 rpm You can make other items using a stationary bile as the source of power for example washing machines and source of power for sewing machines and generator and even your saw as shown here or similar.

Замысел хорош,но рассчитывать на долгую работу машины не стоит,она не предназначена для промышленного шитья, а тем более резки дерева, лайк за изобретательность.

Nice idea √√ --- BUT there are some finishings I do NOT like at all: 1) The old Loge with its gold-color should have stayed as it was. Cleansing thoroughly then maybe removing some minor rust from the old sewing machine and as a finish - I guess a clearcoat would have done the job. --- 2) Soldering the cables would have been a much better way instead of just twisting and taping them …;((

Fantastic! I have a similar model just for decoration. I keep thinking that I want to make a lathe but your solution is perfect! I don't think I will paint mine tho, the old graphics and patina looks too great to cover-up! You are still the king!

Nice build. But wouldn't a down cutting blade be better? Could have done a floor stand, mounted the Singer underneath, and the motor below that. Would have had all the clearance in the world on top of the table that way. Just a thought.

Awesome job! I have two old Singer heads in my basement, if I had a welding machine and a chop saw, and your know how, I’d attempt that conversion. The only thing I’d do different, and this isn’t criticism, is leave the old Singer gold leaf logo. Again, great job!

I bet when the light 💡 went off on this one, Ya knew there was no turning back...sometimes I hate when that happens, because Ya have to go for it, 😂... its curse at times....I actually have 2 singer patch machines, & a large Landis sole stitcher, Ya could make a hell of a scroll out that one with heavy duty sawsall blades or handsaw blade...Hmmmm 🌥 anyway, Sweet Build.....Quite Clever! but not sure how Ya can do anything with those HobNobs on, ☺ Peace Out.....& Beyonder

Оставим в стороне вопрос по то, что была принесена в жертву хорошая швейная машина, Зингер 16 модели, мануфактурная машина, за поломку которой надо руки обрывать. Но не о том речь. Да, у автора ролика руки мастеровые, этого не отнять. Но именно это изделие, грубый и не эффективный "колхоз". Извините, за откровенность, ни кого не хотел обидеть. Да и проживёт-проработает, это изделие крайне мало. Всему причиной будет быстрый износ деталей швейной машины, а именно-- узел движения игловодителя. Оно не рассчитано на такие нагрузки. Одно дело -- толкать тонкую иглу в ткани, или совсем другое дело -- толкать пилу в дерево, нагрузка многократно больше. А весь этот узел построен на силе трения, там подшипников нет. Убьётся очень быстро. Одно можно сказать точно -- работа проделана большая, работа творческая, но результат получился удручающе слабый, увы.

Mr Novruz... If you turn the saw 90° to your right, you can cut much much bigger size boards. Right now you are limited by the neck (column? ) of the machine. Your seat should be on the shorter side of the table :) Good work!

He edit out the harder parts trying to get the screws out of the base. That are stuck. I hate straight screws. And the spring part never showed how to get it apart. Just hit it with a hammer 🔨

От музыки заболела голова. Столько я бац-бац не слушаю, а видео полезное. Единственное меня смутил болт где жёлтый держатель на М6 а тот который держит пилку М8. Нужно что бы были одинаковые, а то меньший срежет когда нибудь.

Everytime the old sewing machine is being hammerred/disassembled my heart hurts a bit, because we have had the same exact sewing machine, t'was my great grandmom. And i remember all the memories i had with it as a boy.

I have had this idea for a while years in fact? That you can apply the needle to the paddle on the old sewing machine like this one Then this makes the machine mechanical completely you have to install a throttle like? something to start it up though You may not have it go as fast at this one is however potentially it wouldn't be slow for sure. The paddle is attached to the needle which now is all light weight and pushes the paddle for you. If you design it carefully enough and balance it as far as weight it should work pretty good. For me this could be a camping washing machine when there is no electricity or water pump etc. If you work the wheels you can see that they too can be made to create greater speed mechanically . anyway thanks

Good enough. If motor and table along with swing m/c are old then it is best example for utilisation. Such is limited with tools and engineering skill required. if application of such is commercialy benificial then it is excelent resource optimization. टेबल , मोटर व सिलाई मशीन सभी के पुराने होने की स्थिति मे यह संशाधन के उपयोग का अच्छा उदाहरण है । यदि इस युक्ति का उपयोग किफायती पड़ता हो तो यह संशाधन संवर्धन का सर्वोत्तम उदाहरण होगा । @zerotechndesign

My Dad made one of these around 1959, he still has it in the shed, he is 90 now! even had an old electric motor geared down to drive it!
