Takeaway - enterprise is a monster, indomitable is super consistent, IJN dive bombers are worse then anyone ever thought, and Kaga would be absolutely broken if it weren’t for the fact that it has no fighters to protect bombers and it’s planes are super frail so it’s unlikely that you will ever actually land this many shots…
Absolutely amazing video and cant imaging how much time and effort you invested in this! For the future i would like to get a little bit more information what exactly the sigma in blitz mean and what the percentage numbers there actually tell. Also how you calculate the overall damage potential. Maybe in a separate video or have you explained any it in other video or on reddit/discord then would love to have links. Keep going on and cant wait to maybe see a ranking video with the comparison of torpedo bombers of all cv calculating in spreads speed flood chance and per minute etc. Good luck with that xD
Perhaps this answers the Sigma question…Sigma in this case will be the percentage change that sits one standard deviation from the mean… layman’s terms - if the average bomb hits is 50% and you have 10 bombers with a sigma of 40%, in most cases you should expect to land anywhere from 3 to 7 bombs per run. If the Sigma is 10% then you should expect to hit 4 to 6 bombs per run. If the sigma is 60% you would expect anywhere from 2 to 8 hits…. That’s all complicated - so, as someone else said, the lower the sigma, the more consistent the bomb runs will be - Indomitable is very likely to be consistent in the number of bomb hits you get per game while Midway could have giant swings… -Quill

😤 Dammit! This video reminds me that bought the Ranger a few months ago, then basically forgot all about it. Maybe I'll actually outfit it at some point in a year or 2! My primary concern is that I've not yet developed the necessary multitasking skills required to use bombers, torp planes AND fighters in a consistently effective fashion. BTW, on a completely unrelated note, which tier 6 premium battleship has more accurate guns, Warspite or Arizona? I just rage-sold Queen Elizabeth again, after being disappointed with it's main gun accuracy. Are Warspite guns more accurate than QE? Thanks...
Hello Yance, no, I did test moving patterns and positions but since it didn’t show any difference came to the conclusion moving speed or direction wouldn’t affect bombers… to be confirmed once (if) we get the real data.
Is it possible to make a ark royal bomber build as I've just bought it properly not the smartest thing I've done as I've only ever played this game twice
Very confused by what you said, why do you want dive bombers to hit you broadside I thought that's the biggest no no in the whole game make sure nothing hits you broadside including every type of plane?
100% - there should be more of these at t7-8; don’t understand why all the AA ships are at t10 when you see the damage potential of T7-8 cvs isnt very different.
@@deathfromabove432 agree for better AA like T10 for the T7 and T8. In T7 and T8, I have a little collection of ship with great AA reputation (Atlanta, Cleveland, North Carolina, Kansas, Richelieu, Alabama, Kii, Chechire, Oland). But in fact, the damage is not always so crazy and the problem is the range. Without amélioration in slot 1 and 2 (not always possible), you kill more planes after attack and not before. It's strange this WarGaming choice because they sell a lot of t7 and t8 premium ship, and if you buy it to be deleted fast per moments by cv... For example, in t8 I have stop to play, since a long time, the Lenin, not because bad accuracy (I have buy it because not overpower, I like challenge ship to play) but because always focus by planes on my 10 last battles. But in the same time, the t7 and t8 are the tiers with the most cv premium to buy... 😂 In T10, currently I play a lot (only? 😂) Worcester and Halland. They are so funny. And in Worcester I often find human cv player to focus me or the bb in my protection range, loose all planes, and try again. So funny the medals clear sky.
Sigma is related to dispersion. It is the tendency of your shells, or bombs in this case to go to the center of the aiming point. You could have huge potential dispersion, but if you also have high sigma, you will have a larger portion of your shells that go where you aim. When you play something like Mikasa, you see the effect of sigma clearly. There are shells launched by the main batteries that go out on a completely strange trajectory, while some go to the target. That’s huge dispersion, with the sigma controlling the shells that actually go where you intend.
