These textures are great, I've just followed along on your tutorial, thanks so much! This is the beginning of my exciting journey with OSL shaders. I have a question - how would I apply all these randomisations to elements rather than objects? I want to apply it to a railclone object, so that it randomises the texture on the elements within it.
OSL is good, but VRAYCPU doesn't support it And if you modify the OSL in CME, it is not immediately displayed on the screen. This may seem trivial, but so I don't use it.
I guess you mean Osl doesnt work in vraygpu, but this is a limitation from vray. OSL works fine on arnold gpu. For the inmediate display on cme, you need to be on realistic mode. This way its doing an hlsl conversion and its displaying inmediatley. If you are in standard viewport mode, material needed to be baked, and will get alower based on your settings for the baked resolution on viewport.
@@andvfx Changes made by CME will not take effect immediately. SME is applied immediately. This has nothing to do with the viewport mode (I test it in high quality mode).
