This was after solo anchor (and New Orleans native) Ron Hunter made the move to NBC owned-and-operated WMAQ-TV's NewsCenter 5.

Glenn Rinker is a Washington broadcasting legend. He joined WRC-TV in 1966 and did their seven o'clock news program with Bill Littauer. In 1967, he was moved up to the six o'clock report and he teamed with Neil Boggs at Four, but in 1971, Boggs was replaced by a very young Jim Vance; he and Rinker put Channel Four news on the map for the better part of six years. If you want to know more about the late great Glenn Rinker, check it out on Google.
