@@red_sky944 I didn't actually play for 3-4 hours a day, at most I'd play like 2 hours per session (which wasn't daily, it was quite irregular), my longest one clocking in at 5 hours, which was exhausting. When I did this run, I was speedrunning for about 3 years, I had plenty of hours under my belt by then

This is a glitch that works on every boss that's like this (survival battles), even in the first game it works. It's much more useful in this game though because the survival battle enemies have much more health, so using the glitch saves much more time.

He did it all by sheer reflexes? i thought all of the letters and scrambles were scripted and the speedrunner just memorises all of it

@@chadichannel The letters are all random, the only scripted letters are the very first ones, and the board when Stuffy scrambles it to make an impossible position for the scramble tutorial. As a matter of fact, there's a minuscule chance for Stuffy to attack normally instead of scrambling the rack, meaning that you'll have to react to whatever you have instead of scrambling.

One doesn't need perfect English to do well in Bookworm Speedrunning! Just lots of practice :)

No, actually. The Tooth is a random chance to inflict bleed, which is very minor damage that takes time to ramp up, which isn't ideal for a speedrun. As for the Necklace/Rod, they don't actually increase your DPS, as they only increase the amount of ticks on offensive effects like poison and burn, which again, takes time. The Boots are optimal because the damage is applied instantly, and isn't reliant on random chance. It's also applied to every word spelt, unlike Tooth/Necklace, meaning that you'll most likely get more value out of it than the others.
