Overall a fairly mediocre run. Had an unfortunate death in MDL2 losing about 2 minutes and some of the other sections were just plain bad. A 1:39 is definitely within reach, just need some better consistency
What is the purpose of flying over to the shack and thinning the lamps and then dying? Why not just fly over to the projector and shouldn't you have lost cfr after dying? Also sweet run
Basically, the game automatically gets rid of cfr after defeating hook for some reason and there currently isn't a way to stop that from happening. The way you typically get cfr is by either interrupting an animated cutscene with a textbox, like we do at the start of a run, or by dying right before a "quest added" or "quest completed" prompt appears. So we die right as we're about to receive the prompt for completing the lamp quest to give us cfr back which we can then use for the rest of the run. The setup loses about a minute but we save all that back and more from being able to move through cutscenes later
@NolifeVV Ah ok! Makes a bunch more sense now, and I assume that is a precise trick like the double cfr in dark beauty castle or is it easier to pull off?
@@bowser_bucks2594 This one whilst being relatively simple, is a lot more punishing. Thin the lamp too early and you enter the cutscene, thin it too late and Mickey just dies without actually triggering the prompt. Both outcomes lose you around a minute. It's not that hard once you've put some time into it but it's definitely still one of the bigger run killers
