Harley, I follower this build when you this did it and would like to see more. Vanquish is what I considered the best of best! Igave it to my wife as a gift.We still have 1.9 Wraith and all Vanquish parts, left stock esc and motor. Great job Axial! Thanks Tom Baker Ia.
If you take your time you can drill out the link ends and slide them over the bars and put the cage back together I have done the fast back mod on few wraiths and had no problems makes where can use part of the factory top and not drill new holes.
Got the new incision links ordered last nite, as soon as they show up I will get caught up to the build, looking good so far can’t wait to see what’s next. Thanks josh.
Yeah that turned out awesome Josh !! I've been having a blast with mine, only thing I done was changed the rims and tires, I put my voodoo KLR's Silver compound wrap around my vanquish 8 hole shooters, they were awesome!! I like this mod I have already have aluminum top, all I have to do is cut the back appreciate you sharing Will be following and watching for more
The old Fastback Mod really looks good on this one too!! 😎👌 Josh, you've just caused me to want to redo the Roof on my Wraith!! 😜 Seriously, that slight lip on the back looks SO MUCH better! I've got the EXO Light Bar and Radiator on mine, but I can still see it working. Thanks for these great tips!! 👍👍 Carmine 🚂🚙
Looks good. But I honestly I am glad mine came orange. I’m not digging black and I’m not an orange nut. Forgot all about the fast back mod😂 been some years since the wraith was new and cool
The Axe system now has wires that are not soldered to the esc. And they are now the same length as the sensor wire. Plus the new 2300kv and new software is pretty great!
I've driven another local guys system, and it still have a lot of the same issues that made me not love it the first time. I'm still going to put in a bunch of drive time on it, but I just don't think it will be the system I'd suggest to most people.
Never been a fastback fan but I do look forward to seeing the power system put to work. I have a similar issue with my hobbywing sensored system in the start up and low end is strange, almost like it is t a sensored system, but live and learn. Should have stuck my my typical MMP system.
I just installed the 1800kv AXE system in my 10.2. I have yet to get it out on the trail/rocks. Curious to see what you think about it after you run your rig 👍🏼 (RCTREK).
i did the fastback cage thing to my poison spyder wraith but i went from the middle of the cage to where the rear shock mounts are. it looks like a ultra4 now
Hi Josh, what’s the latest firmware version for the xerun axefoc system? I too have this system since about October 18’. To date I thought there had only been two revisions, I’ve only been able to see the one update since firing it up. I’m currently at firmware 01-001.12 date 08-15-2018 and this is for hardware version: XeRun AXE (HW489_KZ1_V1.0). I haven’t seen an update past August 18’, is there another one out there?
Awesome mod man! Might want to look into upgrading the axle housings next. My scx10.2 raw builders kit had the same housings axles and they bend super easy and stretch out so the gears start slipping really bad even shiming didnt help! I got SSD ar44 pro housings and they haven't slipped gears 1 time now! Keep in mine I'm running a brushed 27t on 2s! Will be fun. To see how long them axles last on brushless 😂
I’ve never had the gears in this style slip, might not have had the diff cover tight enough? These are the same housings I used in the Dragbolt that did over 60mph 😁 I’ll still swap housings but it won’t be my next upgrade.
@@HarleyDesignsInc I know that deadbolt build you did looked fun!! I had everything tight if not over tight and it was even shimmed at 1 point. Pretty sure the company changed the plastics! 🤔 I'm also not the only 1 that's had a issue. My buddy had worn holes in his Stock diff covers on his honcho 10.2 in 2 months! Had had a few other mention issues with there's to! It suprised the heck out of me the housings failed just thought I'd let you know me experience. 😊
Need advice man, picked up a Wraith 1.9 chassis (cage, body, and skid) off eBay. What would you use for axles? And a budget friendly option in case it's VP axles. Thanks in advance.
What have you done to make this more stable, mine seems to flop over A LOT, I have currie rockjoks and vanquish links under it. Not sure is the 3s 5000 pack is causing it to be more top heavy.
Daniel Murphy you should never put a 4-link on a truck that has a chassis mounted servo. Also, you don’t want more articulation, you only want about the height of one tire.
That would have meant a full new side panel mold for each side, making this a much more expensive product and this is supposed to be a replica of the full size Wraith vehicle. So it would have just been a different product overall.
Why are you bitching about something that will help it drive smooth at slow speeds. All I hear is hate, hate, hate. "I won't use this, I won't use that" At all times they are going to provide you with the same amount of power... long battery life.. less wear on the parts. First ones kinda sucked I agree.
It takes a lot of the feel away which is a huge part of understanding what the car is doing. And it won’t make for less wear or longer battery life. It can arguably effect each of those thing more negatively since it decides to feed more power in without input from the transmitter. Not sure what you’re saying I said I hate and won’t use.
