I’m quite liking this trend of DS artists commissioning original art for their albums - I think it offers more respect for the music itself, and relates a more nuanced impression of the imaginary territory that the album is trying to map out with its compositions. And what great art this is!

For sure, especially since the artwork and logos are a huge part of the aesthetic. If you took this same exact album/music but it had very poor artwork, I would probably not “enjoy the music” as much, i could go in depth on that but you probably know what I mean!

@@hummingbird830 Yep. One example for me is Hedge Wizard's "More True Than Time Thought". While being a modern DS classic, and the songwriting is impeccable, I personally dislike the artwork, which looks like it was drawn with 3 crayons in 1 hour.

The fandom was eternally appreciative of Sprite Frog 0's commitment to the trveness of the Dungeon Synth art form, that it may never change or innovate in any way. Ideally the genre should stay exactly where it was in 1994 and never become tainted by listenable production and the developed sense of aesthetics that comes with any art form gaining any semblance of maturity and popularity. Thank you, Sprite Frog 0. Keep fighting the good fight.

Love the artwork. That red dragon vs the little guy is so powerful. Your greatest enemy will always be yourself: the dragon within you. Mastery over people is good, but mastery over yourself is true power.

I thought d&d wotc was the only stuff out there and the recent stuff has been just oof (this channel makes me reminded of what d&d used to be, even in 5e 2015 - 2018) - had no idea there were like minded ppl who wanted the revival of old school dungeneering and questing. @@fantasybound3001 I wholeheartedly agree with you. D&D 5e isnt just fantasy anymore. Immersion and Versimilitude is thrown out of the window for being a bad and shallow "Avengers in fantasyland" game. Even i bought Dungeon Crawl classics (DCC) and its an awesome system to play . The other good alternative ( if you like D&D 3.5 with more stuff ) is Pathfinder 1e .
