The ninth edition of Investec Cape Town Art Fair was an outstanding success that welcomed over 23 000 visitors through our doors this past weekend. Collectors, gallerists, artists, curators, media and art enthusiasts were welcomed with a spectacular presentation from 99 exhibitors from 20 different countries, over 300 artists were showcased and we welcomed 6000 VIPs during the course of the weekend. The highlights of the Fair are encapsulated in the spirit of this year’s theme, ‘Connect Through Art From Africa and the World’. Additionally, Investec Cape Town Art Fair debuted a new section, ‘ALT’- inviting alternative galleries to showcase for the first time at the Fair.
ALT is dedicated to projects that reflect the many ways in which the art world has adapted in response to the global shift from physical to virtual. Young, non-traditional exhibitors had the opportunity to showcase their artists in a nonconventional way.
Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2022 offered a platform for new discoveries in contemporary art from the continent and around the globe. We look forward to welcoming you to the 10th edition of Investec Cape Town Art Fair in 2023, 17-19 February.
