Kats time to grow is already passed. Kat is kat. I wouldn't mind kat if he was on a Naz contract type or a little more but he's being paid as the guy and he's not. Ant is not a play maker yet and hopefully he can grow into it but if you put curry, kyrie, or Luka with rudy and kat. Rudy and kat will be better player because those other guys can play make and give rudy and kat easy buckets. I see soo many plays where rudy is wide open and ant took a shot. Ant can get his at anytime so he needs to feed rudy to make rudy a offensive threat. Clint capella got soo many easy buckets from harden. Lively and gafford were 44 for 48 fgs all if not most were dunks.

The biggest thing I'm worried about from Kat is he's been injured a lot recently and normally you don't suddenly get healthy as you age no matter how independent each individual injury is.

His offense will work if you have a team that has played a lot together, but it wasn't good for winning in the playoffs. He needed to create more looks for Ant on catch and shoot. No backdoor cuts, no back screens and he needs KAT to play at the FT line and be a passer and shooter from their and not allow himself to drift out to the three.

Does Rudy have that much gravity? I can’t count the amount of times he rolled to the basket wide open with hands in the air. He rarely got the ball.
@weights250
@weights250 3 месяца назад
I agree. In the playoffs, when it really mattered, Rudy rolling to the basket maybe got passed to a couple times a game. He was wide open many times, but his teammates don't trust him to catch it -- specifically in traffic. They feel they can only throw it to him if it's an easy catch above the rim otherwise you have a 50% chance of a silly turnover. Whereas with pretty much any other big in the NBA, they have regular people eye-hand coordination. You can bounce it anywhere or throw it anywhere near the rim, and they are going to go get it.

@@weights250 love how you said “regular people eye-hand coordination.” So true but yet so funny! 😂

@khong0812 I love what Rudy brings to the table, but man, how does one have those hands after a lifetime of playing basketball at the highest level?! I seriously had better hands than that by the 3rd grade! It has to be a mental block. Like someone that stutters. Either way, I love this goofy team 🤣

Does Morris not doing anything in the playoffs cast concern on the front office? We gave up 2 guys and a pick for a rental in a spot that we needed help but he couldn’t provide it.

Need a better scheme on offence to Compliement the Elite Defence.

Position talk is weird with slomo. I think it needs to be the role. Defensively he can defend the bigger 3, most 4, and sometimes 5. He shouldn’t navigate screens. Offensively he is best in the high post, whether creating or reading. Call it a PF or sf or whatever but it is the role.

Regardless of the take on KAT, a trade of some kind needs to happen. Minot, Miller, etc need to get a role or be moved.

Gadford et Lively ne font que des dunks, mais les schémas des Mavs pour eux ont marché parce qu'ils ont Doncic et Irving, les Wolves ne savent pas le faire à part Conley et Kat dans l'axe.

Is it possible for Kat to play a few poor games without it automatically being labelled as emotional immaturity? Shots weren’t falling. Game plan was a bit sketchy. It happens.

They had late 4th quarter leads in the first 3 games. I highly disagree with Britt. This series could've easily went 6 or 7 games. Dallas still may be the better team but the wolves just couldn't finish the first 3 games. Too many late game mistakes. Bad shots, turnovers, etc.

Yeah honestly I'm kind of surprised at how they don't believe in this team to improve their offense and how they think to get back here you need another roster. They were down on the roster last year too but the team and coaches showed them that they didn't know what they were talking about. The Wolves ran it back, focused on their defense and made the conference finals after another year of chemistry. They can focus on their offensive schemes and an Ant-KAT two man game this year and take another jump. It's never guaranteed but this roster can get to the finals with internal development.

Let's talk about Rudy's defense he could not stop Jokic KAT stopped Jokic even Naz played better against Jokic Rudy's defense is overrated in playoffs
@weights250
@weights250 3 месяца назад
Rudy guards the paint, not a player. That's where his genius comes in. He's the best at it in the entire league. However, one could say Livelyn & Gafford did it better than him + they provided more on offense. If there was a Lively/Gafford type player -- that can guard the rim even at 75% what Rudy does -- but offers more on the offensive end, it may be worth making same moves. Rudy's ping pong paddle hands really hurt us on offense. But then again, he's the best screener in the league. Probably going to run it back.
@user-mp6dl7wc9z
@user-mp6dl7wc9z 3 месяца назад
@@weights250 The big move was Rudy and it works in regular season against a lot of bad shooting teams and Rudy doesn't have to score. But in playoffs against good teams that can shoot he is pretty useless even against great Paint Players like Jokic he is useless. They won the DEN series by sitting Rudy. Also in the playoffs his lack of offense even to do what Lively did is really bad. His defense is not that good and his offense sucks. It is fine for regular season but will be exposed in the playoffs always gets exposed.

KAT is not worth $1 million a week. He has yet to solve his issues. Stupid fouls continue, whining and complaining too much, wildly inconsistent play, and the posing after shots instead of continuing play persist. It's a show to him. He's an entertainer, not a competitor. Not for $1 million a week. No. That's got to be remedied. And expecting him to change after 9 years seems out of the question.. Find someone who has their heart in he game and plays with purpose other than individual glory.
