i like the implication here that when you ascend to this level of godhood you cease being anything coherent. so much so that the only way you can communicate to beings of matter is either in riddles or by playing games with them.

“No man can see my face and live.” - God. I’d hate to imagine how difficult this fight would be if they didn’t nerf that.

I think that the two voices in this song represent the two main aspects of this strange detity, it's grace and it's wrath. The first voice is soft spoken and seems to be encouraging you throughout the battle, though in a strange and almost mischievous way. It talks about speaking in riddles and games, similar to the way Jesus does in the Bible. This first half wants you to succeed and seems to believe that you will do the right thing with the power you gain from it. The second voice represents the dety's wrath and judgement toward both you and humanity as a whole. This voice speaks of entropy and destruction, almost ROARING for your destruction. This aspect of the deity doesn't think that you or anyone else is worthy of its power and wants you to fail utterly before even coming close to passing the test. The compromise to these conflicting viewpoints? A hard as nails boss battle with an incredible soundtrack!

"A reflection of how far you've come" feels like a callback to "You've seen how far they've come" in Calamitas' theme, showing she was right to fear you.

I like how the boss looks understandable and complicated in the same time, it gives off a combination of everything.

considering the last lines are "now all you have to do is finish what you started" + getting a tiny seed that destroys your entire world makes sense to me now

Hearing this theme, I'm confused. I only saw the gameplay of the boss for a minute, so i thought it was a joke boss. But now I hear the theme and it's a masterpiece.

The music timed up so it was at "to the flowers they pray" right as the clock stopped and that was some of the best musical sync I've had in ages.

never played terraria but i feel this is less of a fight but more of a friendly game of tag. if you were a immortal powerful god and your character has done THIS much to take on one. i feel the nameless diety is treating this as a test and a game more then a fight to the death. making you understand that this is a test of strength.

I like that it’s visuals are not pixelated. Just think, in the realms of the terrarian and the world of terraria as a whole, this thing is completely alien, unknowable, confusing, incomprehensible. And I can’t tell if the attacks are in a similar style but if they’re in this more photo style then it also gives giygas vibes in you’re literally unable to comprehend what’s even damaging you, just that it is. No idea if that was the intent but if it was that’s genius. And I don’t know, I don’t know the lore, but to me it feels as if the lyrics are coming from a place of “I know this, cus I’ve lived it” “When you ascend past yourself you WILL gaze down below” “You WILL never be the same again” The use of you will makes me think that which could be interesting Also at 2:13 I like that the main menu screen flashes up for a second

Ill be honest, i love this theme. Like another dude said it captures DM Dokuro's style perfectly and also the editing of this video is top notch!

Not sure if anyone mentioned this before. But I just wanna say that I can tell they took inspiration from kirby's return to dreamland magolor fight, even using one of the exact same sound effects and some similar attacks. And I just wanna say, that is absolutely not a bad thing god damn I love this!

I love in that slashing attack it does at 2:03 you can see it break in the very fabric of game reality, showing flashes of the title screen.

All of this sounds like the Nameless Deity is trying to tell us there is things far more powerful then he his. (unless the lyrics are about the fight and not form the view of Nameless Deity)

Something about a censor square over the middle of a blooming flower just hit's so right when represented as a higher deity's strongest attack kinda brings back gygas vibes with the "you cannot grasp the true nature of the attack" feeling

I think the scariest part of this fight is the fact that the name of the boss is “DEITY”, which presumably means that this is an angel, and not even a god. Imagine what a fight against an actual god would be like

i love how the deity kinda sounds like bill cipher, bro. this fight took me a while to beat but when it did, man alive, i've never felt better also why is it that with every boss theme that is related to a god it has a breakcore-like theme to it. Like I get that the instruments used to make breakcore are called "amen samples" but why use it? do gods even like breakcore?
