@kevinrules99 Well Loeb is known to have a photographic memory but some stages change from season to season, he is also a perfectionist with his notes, always correcting them and adding details. They run every stage before the start of the event to write the pace notes or make adjustments .
for youse of you that will watch this video in full those roads are tricky enough in dry conditions when opened to us the public but to push a car threw that stage an keep such a tidy line then you will understand why hes still the best w.r.c has ever offered in recent years his record speaks voulumes hes the undoubtley best driver in the wrc mikko and petter have nothing on leob no disrespect to them
I agree, he is too smooth! See what he did to pikes peak, it took an electric to undo his record. He needs to go behind that electric and set the true pikes peak record!
He drives it like if it was a FWD car. He brakes early, enters teh corners without risking too much, but once he's on the apex, he's quick on the throtle. But notice he only apply full gas once the car's straighten up. That way he doesn't loose time driving sideways... A real tarmac master!
WRGB 2008 winner, other drivers had c4s but they didnt drive loebs lines,no one did. go see him in action on a stage and watch the other drivers pushing it to try and keep up,lots of oversteer and not much forward momentum.colin was always the daddy of slide but loeb is in the new rally car era and has adapted a circuit racing/drifting style to rally, finally got the WRGB to prove he can win on all surfaces in all conditions.a credit to rallying and an excellent driver
Comment ne pas aimer les courses! Quel duo!
@2paxie you should see a stage in the rally of the lakes called molls gap, it's held in killarney co. kerry , one of the most famous stages in ireland, you should try looking for a video of it, it's quite the rally stage !!!!
i totally agree..in rally there is NO margin for error the drivers are assulted by the Gforce and rough roads...plus they have balls driving like 6 ft away from death at 180 km
The guy doesn't drift, he's just smooth as silk with the car always pointing in the direction he wants to go instead of drifting with lots of steering corrections like other rally drivers.
The co-driver is like a sniper who clear the road for an army division. The eye in the sky, on every corner and in advance. The driver rely on him/her big time, and play a major role in leading the team to victory. The unknown and sometimes unoticed soldier, indeed.
@winemanboy 100% agree altho im not a montoya fan he is a fair pilot aswell....but loeb..hes just so natuarally gifted hes the senna of wrc...he can just make a car dance....him and senna there the 2 in 3billion that are blessed with the 6th sense
if you count every day they race (race, no qualifying or practice because in rally that goes on much longer than f1) a wrc season lasts even longer than an f1 season with less rounds to catch up
