I mean that he had lots of luck the car didn’t hit him in that crash. And I also worked in belgium for better safety and work places for belgian pro rally photographers so know what I’m talking about.
I was watching it live on BT in the UK and from the front facing cameraI I actually thought he’d hit someone in a red bib. It was a relief to hear that no one was hurt, that was one scary crash and its the first time I’ve seen this footage.
I noticed that. They didn't show the shot out the front window again in any of the replays... I honestly thought Katsuta had taken the marshal out in the moments after... 😬
Katsuta's out-of-control car didn't miss spectators by a massive margin. I didn't realize before how close he was to hit people. Everyone stood on the corner exit inside rather than outside, after all. Former is usually the safer option, but not on this occasion.
Really nice video, I enjoy it so much. The security in this rally seems to be not the best. Here in Portugal all the spectators are inside areas that are made for it and it's not possible to be off it. Better for security and sometimes bad for viewing.
5:43 You were in the 'less than a second possible situation' place. Count on your lucky stars.. I only hope you paid to the person who had that steel cage that you were inside, that really saved your life or atleast some serious injury. Good luck and great video as always!

Irgendwie liebe ich die Porsche bei den Rallys :D Der e30 (?) ist auch geil aber der Sound ist irgendwie nichts :P Und unglaublich das du genau an der Crash-Stelle warst 😮Sah erst überhaupt nicht so aus als würde er euch so nahe kommen...wahnsinn. Holy crap!! That crash was too close for comfort. It's a miracle no one got hurt, it could've gone a lot worse. Just some shaken spectators and one pissed off farmer I guess?
Were any spectators injured in that big crash? Wow they got lucky for sure. Did you see how destroyed that car was and the doors still came open easily. That’s called building him strong and safe
Look at the camera movement, the way the dust curls away and the swaying of the grass. This video has been subtly and unnecessary sped up. Why would you do that? This motorsport is exciting as it is. No need to fake the speed of the action...
Always the same accusations.. I do a lot of fine tuning to the footage, but the speed is nothing i’m messing with. RU-vid’s 50p rendering is messed up in cases, leading to weird movement and loss of frames.
The dust and the grass simply react to the big-ass aero components whose purpose is precisely to manipulate the air (and dust) around the car in all sort of ways. There's nothing sped up here.
