You have nothing to be sorry for, getting the word out so others don’t go through what you did. Thank you for calling them out. I and many others will appreciate your rant. Never be sorry to being truthful.keep on doing your thang.
I’m so blown away CJ’s pony parts use to be the guaranteed best supplier for sheet metal 10 years ago I never got shorted parts. Mustang parts of Oklahoma was the best place for soft hood like interior and they had a great supply of good used parts and had a lot of NOS parts. What was their excuse when you called them about the crappy state of what you ordered?
@wayneprater8960 now you get chat with a chat bot. It's extremely hard to talk with a actual representative. I've chatted and emailed and they have yet to make it right.
@@MrGonein60that’s ridiculous I’ve stopped buying things from any company that doesn’t get me a human or an option to switch to a human immediately. Heck even EBay will get you a real person if it’s between 8am and 5 pm M-F. If I’m buying something on the computer and it shows up wrong, I want to be able to call and talk to a person. West Coast Classic Cougars you always get a human being and if you don’t, it’s because they ain’t there and you could leave a message and get a call back one day I didn’t realize what was going on and the guy said his name and I realized I was talking to the old boy who owns the whole company. I got excellent service from them. Sometimes I feel like I should figure out where stuff’s coming from import It myself set quality control guidelines with whoever I buy it from knows that I will turn it around and send it back if it’s not right. Then have the best service, shipping and that and just do sheet metal because it’s harder and harder to get consistent good stuff nowadays. I used to run a Chick-fil-A so I know how to give good customer service and do it the right way. I took 18 year old kids and they put out better customer service than some 40-year-old sales people. They also had to learn how to count back change properly, but that’s just a pet peeve of mine. Are you going to show the installation of the shifter backing plate?
I feel your pain and bummer on that floor pan. Had lots of poor quality parts from CJs not to mention shipping quarter panels loose in no packaging(arriving with damages). Getting help was nearly impossible without hours on hold. They love to argue/refuse service. Stopped buying from them a couple years ago and have given other companies a chance and life is now much easier when I need parts.
CJ isn’t a parts dealer anymore they are just a middle man for almost all the parts they sell come from the different manufacturers. I had similar issues with them about a year ago. It took forever to speak to a person and although she was sweet, they wouldn’t do anything to help. I’ve used classic industries with minimal issues.
I would definitely like to see where all brackets go on the fastback seat installation and now how to make or where to buy the brackets as always thank you Flint our sensei, master of the Mustang coupe to fastback universe 😊
Enjoyed the video, looking forward to seeing updates on this build. Just wondering who you use for parts mostly classic industries or another place east side of the county to save on freight truck charges on is classic that reliable that you rather pay the extra for piece of mind on the parts order
Call CJ parts and tell them how much you spend (on average) on sheetmetal per year, and then tell them you are going to use a different supplier unless they refund all or most of your money for that floor pan. The refund is justified because of the additional labor involved to add the missing parts.
i have seen a few of your videos and recently subscribed. love the work on these cars , I was wondering if this is what you do for a living or do you have a day job also?
Roughly how much do you charge for the coupe to fastback conversion with a new floor pan? Do you also paint? Not looking for a showroom paint job but a nice black all around. Thanks in advance.
@lenardmendez3850 it's around 6k for conversion. That's parts and labor. Yes I paint them also. That's a hard thing to give a estimate on without seeing car.
Did u call them and ask for an exchange? Chances are they bought this from a third-party who didn't add the missing bits....they could be just resellers.
I got damaged drip rails the last shipment they were twisted in the box I straightened them but I did call them, maybe they'll pay attention to you since you buy so much, and when ordering what class do you recommend ordering, it seems like boxes come destroyed when just ground shipping
