Thank you for making this video of my dads funeral, I am so glad that he was able to be there for so many people! He loved his friends, & he will be greatly missed by everyone. When Pastor Phil spoke, about how my dad would want anyone who had yet to make things right with the Lord, to get right… Thats exactly what my dad would of wanted for everyone to take away from this!
Ruben was my best friend. My special thanks to everyone who helped put this together, and especially to the Bandidos whom Ruben ministered to and loved like a brother, they truly made his last ride, one to remember for a man of God. God Bless your Brother, rest in peace, watch over us, and I will see you again someday.
I definitely feel your pain for losing a very close friend and brother. We here in California lost our good friend Ralph Sonny Barger. I didn’t know Sonny that well. I knew a few of the Hells Angels that have been with him since almost the beginning. Unfortunately those friends have passed away also. God bless you continuously knowing that he already blessed you with your friend that you will see someday again. Beautiful Fairwell.🥲🙏🏼🇺🇸😊
I want to thank everyone involved in honoring my brother Ruben's homecoming with the Lord. My brother loved the Lord deeply and he loved all his brothers. Ruben often asked me to pray for many of you, because he always wanted the best for everyone. You truly honored him in return. All of you that knew him, you are his good fruit for the Lord. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. Ruben was my baby brother and I will always miss him so much because we were very close. Sincerely Adela
Wow I don't know this man at all never laid eyes on him or talked to him but I feel like I knew him all my life and because he knows God as I do that powerfully my brother in Christ that lead many to God Almighty Jesus Christ wow that hits me hard he knew in the end that's what matters because to be together again you must go the way of witch he did and that is giving and living your life for God tears in my eyes for the joy of knowing he loved his lord God and he is now with him to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord
Met Ruben in in 1990 me as a rookie in the wrecker service, he would stop as a stranger at my house to be a friend . A real good person to be around,he will be missed,
Knew him for twenty-six years. He helped us out in the East End or in 3rd Ward. He will certainly be missed. Always willing to help us when we needed it!!!
Against the wind!!! One of my favorite songs to listen to when I’m riding on 2s. All the grey beards tell me “learn, listen and ride. soon your time will come and you’ll have to teach the young bros like yourself”
This gave me chills. I didn't know this kind soul but I am sure he was a good man. Best of all, a child of God. Bless him and to all of you family and friends he left behind. This was a great tribute! God bless you all.
Dem-it. Old uncle rube man. Was not my uncle but always had my full respect. Went on ride alongs in the wrecker and in hot rod when I was a boy. R.I.P. brother had fun running them streets in the trucks when I was towing.
Gonna miss him.it was cool that we helped each other as kids fighting some bullies, then we met as Brothers in Christ at Tribe of Judah church back around '93
Another time we were at a funeral for an old Outlaw, there were two Clubs uptight about some serious stuff and me and Reuben were in the lobby. He started getting on a real serious Spanish Outlaw about needing to get right with God. The guy said he went to church whenever he was in town on sundays. Reuben told him if he went into a church and came out the same he was going to the wrong place! It was real uncomfortable, especially because Reuben was just a Prospect and getting on a serious Patch holder. Then Injun (Injun is an Original) he says "I want to go to church, I'll go to church. Everybody shut up, after a long silence I told Injun I'd take him to church. I did take him to church and all kinds of Christian events for well over a year. This was during a war and he was a big target being a National Officer. He was in the early stages of alzheimer's but he was an exceptional man and being raised as a Warrior, an Army Ranger and having been a POW during the Korean war he had lots of skills. During this time James Dobson focus on the family was talking about dealing with his Dad's dementia and the program taught me how to help Injun keep his memory. He told me he had become a Christian after the war and even traveled with A.A. Allen's ministry giving his testimony, he was even nominated for the Medal of Honor for his service in Korea. This was one of the great privileges and trusted task God have me and it wouldn't have happened without Reuben's boldness. Thank God I reminded him of these things when we talked. He'd just say "it's all Jesus Bro"
I'm crying so hard this is how my mom wants her last ride and it's so hard talking about my mom's last ride cause she isn't even gone yet but I no she wants her last ride to be this she loved bikes and was a hottie in her younger years and because I'm going blind I can't drive but I'm going to try my best to make this her last ride and I'll be right behind her on a bike as my last ride on a bike why I can still see my heart goes out to this family and there friends may he forever rest in peace
This day is fast coming my way still riding and couldn't think of a better send off. Great job guys I'm sure Ruben will remain with you and he'd be smiling 🇦🇺💪🗡️🗡️🗡️🐊🐊🐊
Then ...someone was causing him trouble some years back and all his church friends left him alone. I joined him at the table and waited it out with him. Thankfully it got resolved and we were ok
Much respect used to ride and went to More than one biker event were 1% were at home Walking into a biker bar as a newbee took ball's as they say Not hard core biker but not a wimp or cry baby One old 1% made it clear you are the real deal. You ride Biker's are a breed of freedom Not always on the side of the law not always on the side of evil Much respect for I never had the honer of knowing this man. But from what I see he was a force to be reckoned with and a man of ttue homer Much respect
If I die today the only people at my funeral would be my parents, I hope to find community and legacy like Wreckin Ruben did. Condolences to all that cared for him.
I’ll be the first to say this was awesome !! Ruben would be proud ! May he Rest In Peace. Hey would you mind if I borrow a piece of your video on a project I’m working on. Thanks and great editing 👍🏼
