Thanks so much for the playthrough and initial impressions. I always appreciate your objectivity and can therefore trust your opinion. This looks like tons of fun, plus it would be different than anything I own. Backing it for sure
Thanks for sharing. Warp's Edge is one of my favs. I got that based on One Stop Co-op Shop. I'll probably back this. If for no other reason than to get the Warp's Edge expansion. You amaze me how you play so fast, so well, and have commentary too!
This looks really good to me! I wasn't so sure at first since I'm not that big on dice-reliant games, but with the different loadouts and stuff it looks like you'll have options without relying on direct dice manipulation. Seems like a cool mechanic, because maybe you need a 4+ attack, but you have a matching 5 that would give a huge benefit elsewhere, too.
@@OneStopCoopShop awesome, glad I backed at the level I did, then! I mainly wanted the Warp's Edge goodies, but this theme is right up my alley so I snagged it, too!
Thanks for the playthrough Mike! Really excited for this one. I was on a razor's edge on whether or not to back Warp's Edge and ended up not backing so hopefully they offer that one too.
Received an email notification for Wreckland Run just before your video popped up. Looked interesting but then so does Astro Knights and Purple Haze Think if I jump into a KS it is more likely to be one of the latter two. Have you seen Purple Haze btw? Thanks as always, Mike. Real fun playthrough
I have heard good things about Purple Haze in our Discord, but haven't had a chance to dig too deeply yet. But it definitely sounds like a "Mike" game.
The weapon I fired right before (the fireball-o-matic) has a symbol in the middle that looks like a burning die. That Ivón means you can remove a die from a part. The die is discarded, but it frees up the dice slot to use it again.
Just got the game and was rewatching this to help me learn it. One big important thing they missed in the rules: Ram attacks ignore Shields! This was confirmed on BGG by the designer.
@@OneStopCoopShop Unfortunately I discovered there's some wording issues with the rules, but following along with your video I don't see it being too much of an issue. Enjoy your time with it, it looks like a blast!
Here we are... The game look fun but I can understand your crits... I think the team will have time to tune it. A bit out of topics but not too much: do you recommend the warp edge expansion or the core game is just fine?
Wreckland Run I wouldn't feel fully comfortable ranking yet, since I haven't played the final version and haven't played to the extent of the others. But Warp's Edge would be in my top 10 solo for sure, and Under Falling Skies is in my top 15 maybe. Love em both!
Yup, I’ve played DS d6 quite a bit. This one has more choices and more variety with the scenarios. So I’d strongly prefer Wreckland, unless you are looking for something light and simple, in which case deep space would win
sounds like a better "the dead eye". I found the optics and topic quite interesting, but somehow it was too small and I missed the replayability. wreckland run definitely sounds better, but somehow the cubes and these pebbles look really cheap. kind of strange, because otherwise the optics fit well. and it also looks a bit like having a similar feeling to "under falling skies". on the one hand i liked it and found the campaign very successful, on the other hand i don't want a game that is too similar.
I understand why the enemy vehicles need to be smaller but it kind of feels like you are being attacked by a bunch of Hotwheels haha. Either way I am excited for this game and will definitely be backing it.
That boss fight was very anticlimactic. I was on the fence leaning toward no. Then watching you I started leaning yes. Then that boss fight made it a no for me.
Happy to have helped you out, whichever way you went. It’s often more of a challenge at the end than what you saw here, but sometimes you can chain scrap attacks and easily kill them
