Thank you for making this, Richard. You’ve saved me, and no doubt countless others, from catastrophically disassembling a drawer. The fact I’ve had to look this up online fills me with fury. Drawer removal shouldn’t require a tutorial.
Phenomenal thank you! Took 10 seconds! I do wish I’d found this prior to spending several hours trying to hook a wayward measuring jug with a skewer!! Thank you x
Thank you so much for figuring this out and sharing it. This will end my frustration with what I think are the worst design of kitchen draw unit I've ever come across, having fitted numerous kitchens in the past. Wren have been an absolute nightmare!
Good tip saved me lots of time, just be carefull where your fingers are in relation to the clips underneath as I nearly ripped my finger nails of when I yanked it up!😢
Wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom! One drawer was only held in with one screw - poor quality from Wren - and that screw had started to move, so the drawer was dipping on one side. Now all fixed, with more screws added to the un-used slots
Thank you so much for this simple video providing an easy solution to an annoying issue. The previous time I had to do this I found the video which shows the method you refereed to about taking off the draw front. Your solution is so much better. I salute you sir.
Hello Richard, many thanks for this why oh why do Wren not give this info, because they make even more money from installing, charge 2.5k and only give the fitters half. Anyhoo I have an easier less harsh way for the 2nd part putting the draws back. Put them on the runners, make sure the grey tabs are as close to the front, so far as per your guide, however, no need to put the draw near closing, at any position just push these upwards and they click into place, no need to push hard down as I found you might need to then alter the height of the draw front as the pushing hard down caused movement because Wren didn't lock the position. Cheers again Simon.
Well Ty I just spent half hour trying to remove the drawers I nearly unscrewed the drawer from the runner so thank you so much for posting this Video 😊
Amazing tip. Thank you so much. I’ve struggled previously with getting the front off, and this time it wasn’t happening at all. Made the job dead easy. And as it was so easy, I was able to remove all the other drawers too to make it even easier (a screw from the bracket had fallen out, so I needed to find it and then get in to screw it back in, I couldn’t remove the effect drawer because the bracket wasn’t holding it in place to give it the leverage, if I could remove all the other drawers).
Top Man!!! Deep drawer was catching the one underneath and I noticed the screw was loose holding the runner. Couldn’t get to it and was about to start undoing things…so glad I found this video as I had the draw off in seconds. And…to get it back on…you can just place it on the runner and then hold the sides and push the runner up into the drawer on each side separately and they just click into place. 🫡
Thanks for this. Worked like a charm on a deep drawer in my 2022 installed Wren kitchen. Think I overloaded the drawer with very heavy crockery and the screws for the runners loosened or fell out and the runners slipped. Following your removal method I tightened some screws and put wood filler in a worn screw hole before rescrewing. Pulled the flanges back as you recommend and the drawer simply fell back into position. Thanks again.
Great description! And you do feel like you are going to break the mechanism. I spent a while depressing the tiny tabs each side but you showed the way to go.
