I used to watch WWE back till 2007 then it fell of for me somehow. Roman reigns brought me back, saw the entire wrestlemania and other matches and currently so updated about the current roster and stories n matches. Thank you Roman
May I suggest looking up the rise of Daniel Bryan. The rivalry of CM Punk vs. John Cena. And some compilations such as "Best of NXT" (which was, for several years, literally the best wrestling show in the world).
I already respected the hell out of Triple H but after seeing how involved and passionate he is behind the scenes, He really was the best man for the job.
The McMahon family has Made a Mess out of So many wrestlers lives. All for Profit. I sure would H8 to be them when they face God with all that sin on their souls. 😁
Seth Rollins was the MVP of Wrestlemania. The fact he competed back to back matches at Wrestlemania whilst he was carrying a injury is insane. Huge respect to him. 35:44
Night 1: Seth Rollins teams up with Cody Rhodes against Roman Reigns & The Rock and lost a tag team match Night 2: Seth Rollins lost his World Heavyweight Title to Drew McIntyre, brings back The Shield's music, tried to save Cody Rhodes from The Rock, and gets attacked by Roman Reigns
Had Bobby Eaton not passed away quite early the Midnight Express would be in the Hall of Fame together with Corny already. Cornette said it on his pod that Vince told him he has a home in WWE. Had Vince given the go-ahead right after Corny inducted the Rock & Roll Express, the Midnights would be in the Hall. Corny, Dennis, and Stan lost Bobby and it won't amount to much even if somebody high up in Stamford tried convincing them to be inducted in WWE's HoF. Ig that's that.
This is one of the best pieces of content and production ive ever seen. Honestly movies, shows, youtube videos or anything I came back to WWE on accident the night of the royal rumble and i felt something ognite the kid in me and revived the younger me i had lost. Thank you Paul (Triple H)
Same!! I was nostalgia watching the nwo/sting run and the rumble was on so I decided to watch my kids fell in love and I kept watching I seriously feel like I'm 10 again 😂
My heart swelled when I heard Cole say, "Finish. The. Story". But that heartbreaking moment between Paul Haymen and Roman at the top of the ramp hurt...
@@iAddictions763 At least give him a bit of respect damn 🥺 The only reason he's working a part-time schedule is because of his health condition. Having Leukaemia and always needing to get chemotherapy is a massive bump for his ability to show up as much as he wants. You can't really blame him that's just Cancer, Roman and the Creative Team are playing the part of his character "I'm the champ, I'm the best, I beat everybody why should I bother showing up every week when I dominated for 3 years?"
Michael Cole: “Sometimes this business just gets you right in the heart”. Pat Mcafee: “Pro Wrestling is beautiful”. One of the best ever endings to Wrestlemania of all time. 57:14
I actually went back & watched that promo after this. You could see their was something bothering Cody that none of us the fans understood. People need to remember that this wasn't just a "2 Year story" for Cody, this has been a very real story for him since he was 8 years old. This gave it all the context. 💯
What really got me about this is how Cody was talking after he went out and said he wouldn't fight Roman at WM, and how he talked about having faith in the fans. Because look what it got us - and got him.
I have watched WWE for 20 years and in my opinion this was the greatest Road to Wrestlemania of all time. The build up was amazing and the payoff was just was great. Thank you HHH and those behind the scenes
The most beautiful thing of all this was despite knowing that Night 2 would be his last as "The Champion" holding that belt, still Roman never let that smile wipe off from his face. He was ready to do everything for the business, the product and us fans. Truly, "Professional Wrestling" is beautiful and I love it man 🤗
"nEvEr leT tTAt smILe WiPe OfF FrOm hiS fAcE". He was champion for more than 3 years despite hardly showing up. What more does he want? Good riddance, I'd say.
@@stsmondal1126 You can't complain man. In the 2021 and 2022 he gave many memorable moments and was present for most of the shows. In 2023 he started doing this and Of course he was a heel. That is what a heel does best not giving into the people's demand (KayFabe).
@@marcohavokkhaosWrong. Its definitely a top 10 (for me personally top 5) Sami vs Gunther , US title triple threat , Io vs Bayley were awesome... the tag team title ladder match was fun , Cody vs Roman is one of the greatest WM main events of all time. . .
You know I'm sitting here watching this and it's SO SO SO awesome to know that this isn't just a job for everyone involved. Seeing the passion of the performers about EVERYTHING it just, I can't even put into words. It just means so much to me that as a fan everyone making this happen is a fan at heart too. I almost feel like the "it's still real to me" guy and the passion that he felt in that moment. I feel that passion now while watching this seeing everyone's passion in making this happen. I just want to say thank you everyone in the WWE for providing such a wonderful experience to me for all these years!
@@benjaminkelly6443rock is the baby he always gets his way cena puts your talent over rock wants to be the goat and ruining young talent taking time away from them
The WWE fan inside of me was dead back in 2018 when likes of Shinsuke Nakamura were winning Royal Rumbles, this whole story just made me come back to follow what I have loved throughout my childhood. Beautiful!
Over 20 years of watching wrestling. I cannot tell you how it felt when that 123 hit my tears just flowed naturally. The greatest feel good story. Wrestling done right is the most beautiful thing
Ty to WWE for posting this for free on RU-vid with NO ads. I have Peacock and watch every PPV so it doesnt affect me. BUT, I can appreciate when, a couple of months ago i couldnt afford it. So im very thankful for this...
Not that great for taking an EXTRA 3 months to put this out… there was no reason this couldn’t have been out 3 days after WM. I don’t get what everyone’s raving about… everything in it we all already knew… it was just shots after segments Good… but not worth the wait imo
@@BabyDoIIxI’m not sure you could sound more spoiled or entitled if you tried. Like, I’m genuinely sitting here trying to come up with examples and the only one I could think of was if you had said the exact words you said, but added a link to your venmo so WWE could compensate you for the time they stole from you forcing you to wait.
This was amazing. I was one of the people who commented on this channel that we would never forget if it was taken away from Cody. Not only did they do the right thing, but they did it in spectacular fashion. I love the WWE. I love everyone involved in this process. I'm grateful for the roles you all play. And I love watching behind the scenes.
Now the majority millions of us aren't forgetting we were robbed of the many years Rock vs Roman. That's why those 3.6 million viewers dropped right back down to skating around 2 million.
This honestly was one of The best stories in WM History and of WWE in a while. Like The heat from debunking Cody was real. And then. Him becoming a hero and finally being The Champion AND face of WWE. Perfection.
The Phoenix crackhead line will go down as one of the best WWE insults of all time. It's up there with the time Bret Hart said, "If America was to get an enema, they'd stick the hose right here in Pittsburgh."
Austin insulting Jake Robert's was good, too. "All he's gotta do is go buy him a cheap bottle of Thunderbird and try to dig back some of that courage he had in his prime."
For someone who started watching WWE in 2017. This storyline all the way from January to April was somenthing I’ve never seen ever. What a rollercoaster that one was🥲🥲
@@BrayzenBullnone of those stories lasted long or told a story that actually changed wrestling except for Austin vs Vince nice try. Austin vs Vince was more of a rivalry than a story and dx vs the foundation isn’t anything like the bloodline you can go back and look at it for yourself
Seriously…? It was just like anything else they do in this style it was just Cody talking 70%… Rock talking about what we all already knew & a little bit of Roman to round out the 100%… I suppose my issue is… it’s not bad, but was it worth an EXTRA 3 MONTH wait? Hell no! This was just little clips edited together. We all already knew everything said in it.
HHH might have the most iconic and decorated career in wrestling history other than Vince. The top heel in the most popular era in wrestling history during the attitude era, was a part of one of most successful factions in DX and best friends with founders of the other most successful faction in NWO with Nash and Hall, spearheaded the coolest brand in WWE during its terrible years in the late 2010s with NXT, and now running the show in WWE. Now they are going into Netflix which is going to be a brand new era. This dude is on top of the wrestling world right now, and we are super lucky to have him!
The man literally started a new golden age of professional wrestling. Ever since the attitude era (and Daniel Bryan road to wrestlemania) I have never been this excited to see what WWE shows have for us next week.
I just don't have enough superlatives, and I can come up with a long, long list of them. I'm so pleased Seth & Roman referred to it as 'art', it truly is, but thanks to the insights of this amazing documentary, it's not just the superstars, it's the creativity behind the story, the camera operators, the pyro technicians, the commentators, the referee's, Samantha Irvin, everyone involved, THANK YOU. The fan service is beyond anything I have ever seen in my near 45 short years. Chef's kiss. ❤
They took one of the most short sighted bad calls in wrestling history that could've possibly derailed Cody's career and turned it into one of the best payoffs ever. It reminded all of us why we love wrestling. We love the skill, the athleticism, the story telling, how when it's done right, it gets you emotionally invested in the story and can make you cheer and cry in the same match. Well done to everyone involved.
@@zzrr933The Rock pulled an arrogant power play because he thought he was bigger than everything HHH was doing in WWE for the last 2 years and quickly found out how wrong he was.
it's one of their biggest wrestling revival shows of recent years, like this one got a lot of fans interested, so thats a decent reason to give a deep look to it.
I do wish they had shown Cody presenting Seth, Rock, and Roman their Rolexes. It was a class momemt that would have made people realize what these 4 men mean to each other and their journey together. It wouldn't have hurt future builds because it was all about respect.
assuming everything in this video is real, and not a work, this is a great look at how WWE, more specifically HHH uses the audience to adjust the storylines in real time. It's a masterclass in knowing when to give them what they want, and knowing when to subvert their wants to elevate them into an even better story.
Wtf yall talking about in here? lol. They’re close friends. They only hated each other in the beginning of their careers because they were both competing for the number 1 spot at the time. They’re close friends now.
Nice PR for The Rock... No way in hell I believe that it was Dwayne's idea to give it back to Cody, nor he agreeing to that idea, but kudos for trying to fix the mess for him.
I thought the same lol. The man wanted the spotlight for himself (and in the end still kinda got it) and only stepped back because he really had to. But now it's all because he loves the fans and the business above everything...yeah sure
This was the first buildup to WrestleMania in a long time where I actually felt that it was must watch television. The entire storyline with the Rock turning heel and the Cody and Roman feud brought a level of excitement that I haven’t had in a long time!
@@ts1975 Selfish when it was management who asked him to work two nights on a bad knee? He answered the call and you losers will still get pissy over it
It's happened alot in the past this isn't new, that what's wrong with fans, they think everything is fresh, it's NOT! I've been watching since 1998, and alot of what they've done that people think is so innovative, has already been done
Love these little peeks behind the curtain. As someone who first started watching WWE back in 1988 (then WWF) it's been one hell of a journey, full of highs and lows and everything in between. Feels like we're in a good place right now.
This was truly amazing and inspirational. By far the best Wrestle-mania ever. As a viewer, watching the ups and downs that took place behind the scenes on the road to wrestle-mania and overcoming the unwavering challenges presented in real time, was a spectacle for the WWE Fanbase, very impressive and unprecedented. I'm glad to be part of history. Wrestle-Mania 41 was History. Thank you WWE!!!!!!
It was amazing how this all evolved in real time from Rhodes-v-Reigns, to Rock-v-Reigns, Rhodes-v-Bloodline+, to Rhodes&Rollins-v-Bloodline+, evolving from one Wreslemania main event, to another, to TWO main events. And the role the fans plaid in demanding Rhodes be given the chance to finish the story at WM40... It's an amazing story of Art imitating Life imitating Art imitating Life.... WOW! As a longtime fan, I'm so glad it went the way it did & that all of the huge egos behind the scenes had the foresight to navigate the MANY questions of WM40.
I took my twin brother to both nights. It was by far one of the greatest experiences I have ever had, and I got to share it with my brother. Thank you so much.
Honestly, the last ten to Fifteen minutes of Mania Sunday had us all on another planet, that's how you do a Main Event for WrestleMania!! Respect to all invovled!
i was ungodly sick and sleeping onj my bathroom floor, only mania i havent watched in 15 years and it was on of the best, hated myself for not being able to experience it real time
i will say after years of John Cena putting Stu over it was really cool to get a glimpse of his face. Youve been a critical unseen hero in so many moments Mister Stu. Thanks for being a legend level camera guy.
@@81rbutler lol yeah, i dont think doing bad things make being nice to stu any less nice. and i also dont think stu is any less of a badass because cena did some stuff.
@@81rbutler this comment is a show of appreciation to stu for being a really good camera man and long term committed to doing it well. there are plenty of other forums with which to discuss cena doing that.
I can't express just how COOL it was to be at Wrestlemania XL. Wrestling has had such a huge boom in the last year and a half, and this entire storyline made me feel like a kid again. Every promo, every minute, every twist, every turn, WWE made a true masterpiece of cinema and drama. Hearing the rock's music hit on the biggest stage, seeing the dethroning of the greatest reign of the last 3 decades, this year's mania is one that will forever hold a place in my heart. Thank you WWE for making wrestling cool again.
Facts man. Wrestling will always be amazing for things like this. Can't wait for the next year's coming, it's starting to gear up to be the best era next to the attitude era.
Best thing about this is you can see people wearing cm punk shirts and cheering cody winning the rumble and rock and roman tshirt people cheering cody winning WrestleMania
Were you there? People were standing onseats screaming "He's right behind you Rock watch out!" 3.6 m viewers dropped back down to 2 and the biggest reason given on forums is Cody. We saw how fake he is and how he tried to make fans think something that was false. That's disgusting. Those 1.6 million viewers say "Cody isn't over"
At least the Rock realized this isn’t the time for the big dream match. It’s Cody’s time. He wanted all of the fans to be happy. Not just 3/4 of the fans while you got the other quarter pissed. So props to him.
When normal people watch wrestling fans like us getting choked up and emotional about wrestling, they think it’s weird for somebody to get so invested in people in underwear fighting for belts. You have to have gone through the entire journey and love professional wrestling to truly appreciate all the entertainment it provides.
Wrestling is basically just an exaggerated TV show about sports at the end of the day. It's hard to explain, but when people can engage with the story, everything starts to seem completely natural
Right!!! Had someone told my 8yr old self in 2000 while watching their rivalry that they’d be running WWE in the future one day I would call them a liar 😂
I was at the show when Rock came back and stole Cody's spot. It was a fun night, but the controversy that happened after was shocking. But im glad this years Wrestlemania turned into an amazing game changer.
That bit where Cody comes out of his coach to see his dad on the truck shows just how much wwe are thinking about their talent. Little touches like that are class ❤
This entire story was emotional for me.. i was invested and there was someone who would have loved seeing this.. he passed away one day before windham rotunda did.. i told him a week before he died that cody was gonna win at mania.. i just didnt know how crazy it was gonna be.. he would of loved it….he was a fan of the rock and roman… seeing cody win with my dad, sister and im pretty sure my best friend who i always watched raw and niteo with every monday night back in 98-99 was with me… he would of loved this for sure
This whole Documentary was absolutely Amazing! Seeing when Cody won his second Royal Rumble to challenge Roman, only for The Rock showed up to challenge him until the "We want Cody" trend change there plans. The Rock turning Heel with his Hollywood theme back, Insane segments like when Rock beat up Cody outside in the Rain and Wrestlemania 40 being absolutely Incredible. The Main Event between Reigns and Rhodes was Insane with Jey, John Cena, Seth and Undertaker coming to help Rhodes out. Seth being Cody's Shield from Roman and Cody defeating Roman to finally finished his Story!
And now he’s gone. And it proves the point. The Rock is the star. Cody is still a mid carder at his core. Boring champion. But fans had to see the “story” be finished.
🖕🏼 Dwayne . He’s an egotistical diva with nothing to offer but mic skills . He sucks and only cares about everything about him . Still stealing the spotlight from everyone . He lies, he’s fake and a total arrogant diva
Now you are being Roman meat riders right now Cody worked his but off day in and day out it is special to have a Rhodes to win a championship rather than a match people gave up in years so yeah Cody is doing well and triple h knows what he is doing by the way so shut it and enjoy the damn ride yeah!!!
Words will never be enough to describe how grateful I am to have witnessed this historic event in person. Growing up we didn’t have a lot of money, so attending events like this was a near impossibility. However now being more in control over my destination in life, I was able to wait on tables for an entire summer to cough up the 2 grand it took to attend this event… Thankfully it’s one more thing to cross off the bucket list. I’ve always dream of being apart of Wrestlemania (legitimately) in a professional capacity, in fact I even wrestled for 7 years on the independent circuit but had to stop due to the birth of my daughter. I have no regrets whatsoever, buuut that fire inside- that passion won’t rest until I here “Yay” or “Nay” from the WWE directly. I can’t tell you how tough it was watching Austin Theory in the ring at WM 40 knowing we used to wrestle in the same company together… Feeling like you should be in there too, and more importantly knowing you have what it takes to be in there too and win that honest Philly crowd. But WWE’s cut off age is 30 and sadly I discovered this at 30. It was the hardest thing professionally I’ve ever read. Knowing the sacrifices I made during those ages of acceptance to be apart of WWE as a performer (my mid and early twenties) to help care for my ailing mother who is now at stage 4 in her fight against cancer. But again, no regrets. Thankfully guys like Diamond Dallas Page and Batista are real motivators in showing it doesn’t matter how old you are… If you have it, then no one can deny you. This time at Wrestlemania it showed me that no matter what, it’s possible. And THAT is what truly saved me from the domesticated, submissive, 9-5 mindset… Going home every night unfulfilled. I refuse to let myself become every thing I am not. Hopefully WWE will allow a guy who’s above that 30 year age limit a chance to show his worth to attend the club. 🙏 I pray for this. And thank you Paul Levesque for a beautiful memory at WM 40 that will stay with me forever.
People hate on Rock for his ego which is understandable, but he's always been able to read the room and know when it's time to adapt. Mania X8 against Hogan, he was supposed to be the babyface but he saw the crowd reaction to Hogan, so he played the heel and called the match with him in the ring. Ended up giving a match for the ages that ended with Hulkamania running wild one more time.
@@PaxBisonica89 Ironically thats what makes him such an amazing heel, he is just tapping into what he already has its why Vince was such a great villain too
Triple H has undeniably revitalized WWE’s creative direction. The company is on an exciting trajectory, and I’m eager to see what the future holds . Props to you Paul Levesque. 🙌
And in the words of Shaemus, I hope he keeps putting out Banger after Banger after Banger. I'm already excited for WM41. I can see another 2 night story. Roman and his team has to beat Bloodline 2.0 for Roman to face the Final Boss. I know it's basically a repeat, but I think Rock wins night 2.
This doc could have been 2 hours easily and I would have still watched it. This was worth the wait. It was so cool to see the brotherhood between Triple H and The Rock.
McAfee said it best, "Wrestling is a beautiful thing." I'll be honest, I thank Triple H and Cody for letting me live this moment. I had checked out of wrestling for almost 8 years because I felt burnt out by what WWE was. As soon as I saw Cody's return, I became invested. And as soon as Triple H became Head of Creative, it just became better and better. I can't wait to see what WWE has in store for us in the coming years.
The way he was twisting his words around saying he was NOT having Rock vs Roman. "You could make an argument that that's a good idea..." 😂 We're lucky he's in charge.
Rock is the boss now, literally has a seat on the board, is childhood friends with the CEO, and the owner of the parent company is his old agent. And Rock STILL got outpoliticked by HHH. It's all about the game.
Bro, they are lying to you. They didn't have a clue what they were doing. You can't predict the Vince thing and all that. WWE has not changed. Do not let them fool you.
