CID is called in when Indian wrestler Sangram receives a message during his crucial semi-final match that his wife is in danger. Rushing to his house after finishing the match, Sangram discovers a burned body, believed to be his wife, and his servant missing. The kidnapper sends a message demanding Sangram's participation in the final match of a crucial tournament in exchange for his wife's safety. CID unravels the mystery, finding that Sangram's wife is alive, and the burned body was taken from the morgue. As the final match begins, the kidnapper is present in the auditorium, pressuring Sangram to win under the threat of harm to his wife. The CID team races against time to locate the kidnapper and save Sangram's wife before the match concludes.

The protagonists of the serial are an elite group of police officers belonging to the Crime Investigation Department of the police force, led by ACP Pradyuman [played by the dynamic Shivaji Satam]. While the stories are plausible, there is an emphasis on dramatic plotting and technical complexities faced by the police. At every stage, the plot throws up intriguing twists and turns to keep the officers on the move as they track criminals, led by the smallest of clues.
