I just wanted to ask what if we just ping the broadcast ip instead of pinging all the individual ips, will that miss out any particular device or was the purpose here to show how a script works and how to ping using a bash script? Your scripts are really amazing and I’m enjoying them but I just had this doubt cause we can you know ping only the broadcast ip instead of running a for loop. Clearly I’m missing something, what is it?

if config? InterFace Config I F Config! pipe = send to (as in down a pipe). Also use the up arrow to view and run previous commands

Great tutorial. However, the script doesn't work if a device in the network has blocked ICMP requests.
