Holy fuck Schin you have no idea how much this helped me and how much I appreciate the video. I've watched all your videos at least thrice, and have learned tons.
hi Sachin,I m an English teacher but had very horrible writing ,treid a lot but could not change, but your video changed my life and also my students as I making them your writing style practised ..you are fabulous and my teacher..thank you
😋 I doesn´t matter with any pen or paper. If you didn´t learn to write the cursive since the childhood, it´ll be pretty difficult to maintain similarities and consistency which is a maturity in writing
Also, you are the only person I have seen who learned to make the final 'T' with the vertical tower and the tail! That was the way we were taught many many years ago.
Beautiful. But there is a terrible metallic whine in the audio. If you experience that problem regularly, I can help you to remove it. A low-pass filter should take care of it with a little experimenting with the cutoff frequency.
That would be fantastic if you can teach me how to remove it on RU-vid, or in the future on iMovie. Unfortunately I delete all files from my computer so I can't reupload anything.
Im writing cursive in school but I can't keep up with my teachers because I guess I'm too slow. How can I improve? Also do you recommend using fountain pens in exams?
Fountain pens in exams are great. I previously get cramps after a 3 hour paper, but when I changed to a fountain pen, there was still some fatigue, but no cramps after a 3 hour paper. Just be sure to use an ink like X-feather in case the papers provided for exams aren't that FP friendly.
Jason Tay Thanks, I start my exams in 1 month and some of the paper that my school tends to use are cheap so it's kind of annoying using fountain pens since it might rip through the page or feather like crazy.
If the paper provided is indeed cheap then I would not recommend FP since you'll get annoyed by the fibers the nib collects. That's what happened when Schin was writing "courageous". It's frustrating and you'll lose a lot of time removing the fibers every so often.
From my experience, it's pretty impossible to rip through paper, or pick up fibres on the nib, unless you're using needlepoint (0.1mm ~ 0.2mm) custom grinds or a traditional dip nib. A normal Fine or Extra Fine has no issues, unless the school is providing toilet paper for exams, literally. I can't remember if it's the pen in this video, but one of Schin's Pilot Falcons is a custom ground with an extra sharp point. A normal Fine/Extra-Fine nib will not nick the paper at all. TWSBI Eco would be a good value pen to pick up, as it's sturdy, cheap ~$30, and has large ink capacity. Other more expensive models use a different resin with which I've experienced cracking, so I'd advise against their higher end pens. Use Noodler's X-Feather as it's designed for use on cheap paper. I've used Platinum Carbon Black as well, and words were still readable even with slight feathering. And I write pretty small, about 15 words a line on an A4 sheet.
So proud of you to be using cursive in school! Keep practicing and you will be able to keep up. Once you are proficient, you will be able to write faster than any block letters. Cursive is designed to be able to write fast. As for fountain pens, I would check with your teachers first. Personally I feel it is a great tool and they should allow you to use one, but make sure they are okay with it. Maybe you can get a cheap one and show them first.
Ankamma Rao HOW IS IT BAD WHAT IF U WROTE LIKE THAT AND SOMEONE SAID ITS THE WORST HANDWRITING ALSO GET UR SENTENCES WRITE CAUSE DAT MAKE NO SENSE AT ALL
Rumana Perhaps that was just a poor translation into English because I really can't see how anyone would think this ladies handwriting was anything less than excellent :)
