Kind of wish there was a malachite. That stone/color just happens to mean something to me, personally.

I have never regretted buying a label maker. Tiny font on the bottom of the bottle would be a help.

I've developed some gemstone knowledge because of my job, and I cannot get past them naming the fuschia-purple ink "Beryl." The most common stones in the beryl family are emeralds and aquamarines; the stone that's often sold as a "beryl" is a paler yellow-ish green. Apparently there's an extremely rare beryl that is close to Lamy's color, but it's called Bixbite - I guess they didn't think that was a good name for an ink. I don't mean this as a criticism of Lamy or the ink; it's just really jarring to see. Also, I'm guessing that "Benitoite" is pronounced like the name "benito" with the suffix "ite" added (a typical suffix for gemstones and other minerals), so maybe it was discovered by someone named Benito? It's just a guess, but it'll be easier for Goulet customer service to pronounce if I'm right. Thanks for sharing, Rachel & Brian! Write on!

The colors look good, but I am particularly interested in the bottles themselves. They have wide necks, which most ink bottles don’t have. My guess is they will nicely accommodate oblique nib dip pens, which is important to me. I am especially glad to hear they are high-quality, presumably making reuse easier.

I am very surprised and grateful about Lamy finally releasing new colors, didn't expect them to have some sheen. Wish there was a saturated orange. I believe the shape of the bottle is called a Reuleaux triangle.

I like how the original Lamy inks performed in terms of flow and not drying out in nibs, but the colours were so unsaturated and bland. Really looking forward to trying these out! Hopefully it keeps the same performance of the original.

Benitoite is “Ben-ETO-ite.” It’s the state gemstone of California. As a native Californian (and son of a California geologist) I can’t wait to try this one out!

Love the inks. I have never used a glass pen but I must get one because it "sings" when you write with it.

I’m excited to try benitoite - I’ve been looking for a nice blue-grey that’s water resistant. But Now I think I have to try some of those luscious, rich colors, like azurite, peridot, and topaz. One solution to the unlabeled bottles would be a piece of masking tape on the bottom. Just write the name on that. Easy and quick!

Lamy Black is one of my favorite shading grey inks on the market.

I’m burned out on jewel themed ink collections, however, Azurite looks like what I have been searching for in terms of a sheening purple.

Great video! Pronunciations: Azurite: z is like in Zsa Zsa Gabor, -ur- is like purr, and 1st syllable is the strongest. Amazonite: pronounce it like Amazon and ad -ite onto it.. I am looking forward to getting some of these!

Yea, Azure is Old French for Blue and is used in Heraldry.

I have the Lamy Lady Rosenthal in plaid, not the cow design, which you have. The nib is silky, very little pressure required and not scratchy at all.

This Lamy Benitoit looks like a great alternative to Diamine Prussian Blue!

Linguist here, it's pronounced "ah-get" [ˈɑgət], and not "a-gate" ['ɑgejt]. (IPA for any language nerd out there)

Posting this since it is ink related. Not that I need to find another way to spend money on pens and inks, but what about an ink subscription? Could do 3,6, or 12. Quarte year' half or full. Choose colors linked to the season or some other fun idea.

Thank you for this video as no one has show these off yet. Am all for the Topez, Berul, and Azurite. These are my favorite of the ten new inks. Also Brian what glass pen would you recommend that writes more like a medium or a broad nib or are they all kind of standardized and write more like a fine??? PS keep up the great work and looking forward to more of these throughout the year!!!

It's pretty different unless you're red-green colorblind. I'd put labels on the bottom of the bottles.

Original Lamy inks don’t have names on bottle either. Colored lids.

I have the whole set. I care for that the names of the inks do not stand on the bottles. I do not care for labels on the bottles.

I tend to murder ink names too... I was very excited about the crystal inks.. But it seems oversaturation is their only property.. Not disappointed.. But its not super exciting also
