The Pass Through Entity Elective Tax (PTE) was introduced in response to the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act SALT $10,000 cap.
Business Owners can now elect to pay state income taxes at the entity level and still receive a tax deduction in excess of the $10,000 cap.
