In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

Rose adds an extra beat in "and a heart of gold" so you can tell someone recorded the banjo part after the fact to account for it.. they've got some good musicians on board! Love the attention to detail, she sounded great!

It was probably The Horne Section, the band Alex is a part of and who does the original intro! I'm not entirely sure if any of them play the banjo, however, so this is just a guess!

Rose's was so good! Ed's song was bad but I get why he came in 2nd because of the "memorable performance". I liked Katy's because she picked up on Alex's weird obsession with eggs.

I watched this task one single time, months ago. This morning I woke up with “Taaaask master’s ooon, iiiit is on now...🎶” randomly in my head. It is now 2am and (without having watched this back yet today) it’s STILL stuck there! So whose is the most memorable really? 🤔

I stand by it. The Task was 'memorable' and half the audience is still singing Davids Version randomly during their life to this day. It wasn't the greatest song but it should have gotten the win! 😄

Yes!! When they showed this task in the Ed video I really hoped that at least one contestant would try to sing not to the tune of the music, but to something that goes along with it. She blew away my expectations!

To be fair, I saw this a week ago for the first time, but I keep singing "Greg is a twat".... so in a way, that was the most memorable performance. Of course Rose's was the best, and I remember bits of it as well, but wouldn't dare to sing it. The problem is when the task has multiple criteria... "best" and "most memorable" are often not correlated.

Rose DESERVED to win. She was the only one to make a rap, and it was really catchy. David's one was also pretty good as he counted and used repetition to make it memorable. Why only two points? Jo deserved to lose as she sang "Greg was fat" and "Greg just goes SPLAT"

I hate the Taskmaster theme song. Alex Horn is brilliant and I've always like this little band, but this song is so annoying I mute it. As for words, let's see..."Alex was drunk, sorry 'bout that! Sounds just like some body stepped on a cat! "
