I'm only starting to realize the importance of investing in your own workspace. I'm planning out my own desk setup, so this was super insightful. Congrats on your first full video Jet!! The budol is strong with this video 😤💸
"Functionality means everything I have must serve a function" is the definition of minimalism (in my opinion). The idea of minimalism is to have as many things you need if you get value from, rather than arbitrarily have few items for the sake of it. Overall, great video!
This is the first video I've seen from your channel and before you even mentioned that you're a watch enthusiast, I already had a good hunch when I saw the SM 300 and IWC, a very nice choice!
I am a writer too, living in Kenya, I just truned 30 last week and I have also started working on my productivity desk. I got my hbada office chair on the way already. This video excites me...
This setup looks sleek, but only when you keep it clean. From my experience, if you're a messy person like me, you need at least a 2x sized table to stay organized. Plus a separate table to put printer, scanner, laptop/pc, sh*t, etc. I am also sure, this setup had its worse days that we don't see in this staged video. The key to keeping your desk clean and organized is to have fewer things on it.
finally a desk setup for a writer from a writer ..which is a really really writer.. haha. nice setup.. same goes with a writer from malaysia. with the pandemic, and working from home, a great setup sure can boost the productivity and also the creativity. all the best!!!
Came from Charm's channel and was not at all disappointed. This is a very well-thought of video. You must've put a lot work for this one and I commend you for it. Your b-rolls are just as nice too. I love the clean setup and the rationale behind each item--not to mention you kept it realistic by sticking to what you already own (compared to if you waited for your 'ideal' setup. Awesome first video!
Got the sense that you’re a great writer when I was watching one of Charm’s vlogs, but damn, 10k words in day??!! Desk setup may not be a flex, but that one’s definitely a big 💪🏿!! Hoping to watch more videos from you! 🙌🏿
@@jetluga planning to get a Logitech MX Master 3 also early next year, but do you think that the Rapoo MT550 would be good for now? Will pair it with a MacBook if ever 😅
@@harrydizon6287 Thinking of getting the MT550 OR 750 but I'm not sure how good the performance of the sensor is since I'm used to ones from gaming mice. Hopefully it's responsive.
great desk set up! your room could use a nice face lift with some korean combi blinds, for a backdrop you can invest in one of those pull down ceiling mounted green screen
Just started paying attention to my work/gaming desk just recently and I must say you've got a slick budget work setup! I'll be copying the lighting setup pretty soon. Thanks for the idea!
Overall a great setup, although I'm kinda surprised that you didn't go for an ergonomic keyboard. Also super surprised about the 10,000 words a day. 🤯 Wow. 😀
Hi, I just want to say great video you made here. I like how you make your desk just minimal enough with functionality. I've been watching desk setup vids lately and yours is one more to help me plan for my future setup
Man for me writing 3k words a day is a good day. 10k sounds like burnout levels to me haha. Could be insightful knowing how you're able to maximize your focus and productivity when writing/working.
Liked and Subscribed! I'm getting started building my WFH setup and honestly I got at least 3 items now added into my card. :D Great vid! Walang arte-arte kahit may alikabok
For the mouse, you can opt to a Rapoo MT750 which is a dupe of the MX Master 2S and just around 1k. It works almost the same like rechargeable via USB, can connect to multiple devices, horizontal wheel and ergonomic shape.
Awesome desk set up Jet! Love the simplicity with a touch of aesthetic. I'm also planning to buy an office chair coz just like you, my back is no longer my friend. Lol and also, i would want to minimize my searching time by checking out reviews over the net, good thing i came across your vid in the r2a page. You bought it online or within Cebu lang? If within Cebu, mind share where can I find the same chair?
Hi! thanks so much for your kind words. I bought mine via Lazada lang and it was delivered within a week or so. I've linked to the product in my description box. We need to take care of our backs 🤣
Nice desk set up, but the speakers sitting bare on your table isn't good for its sound output You'll get a better sound if you place your speakers on a foam or a mount. Best set up would be to raise your speaker to ear level.
Thanks. Quite interesting and inspiring setup. I got some ideas for my own workplace improvement from this video. P.S. Nice TODO list in the notebook :)
Hi there! Was wondering, what camera did you use to shoot this Productivity Desk Setup? Is it the camera with the microphone on the table just beside your work station? If it is, what is the camera? Thanks!
Great video. In regards to your desk setup, I like the asthetic, but here is what I would change when it comes to the tech options: Monitor: Dell S2721QS Speakers: Mackie XR624 Headphones: Audeze Mobius Wireless Earbuds: Master & Dynamic MW08 Microphone: Blue Yeti Webcam: Razer Kiyo Pro Mouse: Microsoft Bluetooth ergonomic Mouse Keyboard: Das Keyboard 4 Professional
Speakers: Only 1 stock available in Amazon and it's $500 😭 Headphones: Too expensive TWS: Too expensive, I could find better ones for way cheaper Mic: Overpriced whether you buy in the PH or Amazon. The AT is more than enough. Webcam: Questionable Mouse: Microsoft mice fell off, no one even buys that, just get an MX Master 2S or similar shape. Keyboard: Idk how old you are but I can assure you that no one owns a 2000s keyboard in 2022. I mean look at it, it's from the 2000s I might as well just make a custom keyboard or mod the Keychron.
Minimalism feels really misunderstood. I really wish more people used minimalism as a tool rather than an aesthetic. Many minimalists would agree with your workspace goals, since removing the excess and selectively buying new items allows you to define purpose in the items that you use. Intentional purpose is a goal many functional minimalists aim for, whereas aesthetic minimalists seem to aim for the clean look of having as little as possible.
hi there!! watched ur setup tour recently now im back to ask a question. planning to get the same monitor as you! how it is holding up after many months? thanks!
Hello! Loving my monitor a lot. It's been great but one minor thing. It has AMD Freesync and it's not as easy to sync frame rates with my NVIDIA graphics card. But that doesn't matter much if you're not a gamer.
Hey man! Do you have any idea or setting to turn on our laptop without flipping it open? Cause my laptop can’t do like yours where just plug the power and it turns on Appreciate some idea! 😅✌🏼
Hello! Depends on the brand of your laptop. For my Dell, I had to go to my BIOS and adjust the boot settings. Maybe you can check the BIOS of your laptop and see if it has that option 😊
Hello. I think it's only a feature on Dell laptops that you can enable via the BIOS. If your laptop isn't Dell, please check your laptop's BIOS if it has a similar feature.
Your comment about not believing in minimalist setups. I have a minimalist desk setup and everything on my desk gets the work done. I don't see how that rotating watch case gets your work done ;) Cool desk anyways.
