I know I'm like one of the only people who ever comments on these, and it might be getting annoying, but as a writer who struggles with motivation, words cannot express how helpful these are, haha. Thanks again lol :)
It is most definitely not annoying!! I’m so glad I’m helping with these silly little videos, and I love reading your comments they’re always so sweet. Thank YOU!! :D
7:12 I actually kind of disagree with this one. I think that would work in first person but not necessarily all of fiction. I personally prefer to leave a little mystery on my characters feelings so I find facial features to leave a little mystery behind the intent whatever was spoken
7:44 I have a character with weather powers, so I can use the weather to show her emotions, and I know a little about body language, so these are used from other characters perspectives to describe her emotions. But from her perspective, she’s not the best at figuring out other people’s emotions, so she will describe much more what they’re doing, whilst i use her internal dialogue and journal entries to describe her own emotions. It’s a fun balance to play with
Okay am I the only writer who when I have an idea and a few character ideas just starts writing. No foreplanning ,just seeing what happens. I worldbuild while writing I come up with the plot after I've written a few chapters. Also I'm weirdly attached to my first draft because personally I love it and am scared if I rewrite it I'll lose my love for my story and it won't be as good than it was when I was just writing on the spot? I do have outlines I just follow them loosely. This is what's been working for me and I'm just wondering if someone else feels the same way. Also I saw a video titled kind of like "how to enjoy writing more" but if you aren't enjoying what you're writing... then don't write it take a break and focus on what you like to read so you can write a book attuned to your interests. I'm sorry this was a mid-afternoon rant that I just needed to write down
@@infinityc2859 I kind of have a rough idea of the beginning and middle, but other than that, I'm the same way! I still haven't come up with names for 85% of my characters!
I used to be like that lol. It was really great but I never knew how to end my stories :/ But it was really fun, just going where the creative winds blew me 😊 But now I'm like a mix between a plotter and a pantser
I had the idea, I had the plot twist and about 3 characters and I just started writing. I only had a rough plan from when I was like 20% of the way into the book😅
