Fun fact, there is something called Organogold chemistry concerned with gold-carbon bonds... So its not totally out of this world ^^ I love this project. I just recently found the Monstergarden Channel and loved the Magic system he created over there so when your magic system Vid popped up it was a nobrainer ;) He likes colaborating with other creators especially worldbuilding+drawing, so maybe something for the future :)

Quick questions about Ornata: 1) can animals, or whatever fantasy creatures there are, in your world also become ornata? If so, maybe specific species are more “at one” with their magical properties. 2) Does gold spawn naturally in the world, but is still rare? If that’s the case maybe you could make it so the whole landscape becomes unstable with magic.

Your closing thoughts really hit hard-the only people that I’ve shared my worldbuilding with is my immediate 3 player dnd group, simply bc they play in them. But for the longest time I never spoke anything about them, even tho I was dying to. I’m a frequent world maker, & with the 3 players I’ve got 3 homebrew campaigns going , with a couple other worlds for writing. 😂 got a lot going on in my head, but I’ve been working on most of these worlds for years. I use World Anvil to help keep them all organized, but there are definitely other sites, programs, and apps to use. Your art & worldbuilding is very inspiring-there’s just something about seeing examples in art that really sells it all, especially since the occurrence is such a visual thing. That said: are Ornata limited only to sentient people, and does that influence why it’s possibly thought of as a divine gift? Is this something only found in humans-are there other sentient peoples in Gold & Bone? What about plant life, gold within the wood & sap of trees, flowers? What about animals? If either, are there cultures that venerate nature because of it? Could they have focused that worship on nature bc they saw “ornata” flora and fauna before seeing it in humans? Those inflicted with the gold, they’re called “Ornata” as a noun, but what is the actual name of the condition? Ornataism? Ornamentation? The Growing Gold?

Dont forget to not feel stuck with the one worlds idea, while thats what brought a lot of us here im sure we'd all be intrested in more of your stuff too if thats what you want to do.

Brainstorming some ideas & questions here: Can the Enchanted Ornatas manipulate electricity, because of the gold, as some kind of Enchanted Gold Power? Can one Ornata, have the Enchanted Power of stealing other ornata's gold? The powers of the Ornata that have go through the risky enchantement, in terms of capacity, is very wide or is a realy low Magic system? Your artwork and ideas are incredible, I wanna you to know that we are gonna support you, and keep the great work and passion for all your projects

9:03 Im sure you have your reasons but if the gold of the ornata was different from regular gold and could be harvested from them to potentially bring about different or more powerful enchantments than normal gold that would make the ornata very powerful "mages" (for lack of a better word) but also high value targets. Art inspires art and the creativity people can have is one of the greatest things about being human. As a voice from the void your art kicks ass!

i can't wait to see how you plan to introduce alchemy to enchant the gold. if thinking of this as an hard magic system i guess enchanting gold comes down to a kind of formula and a specific language it is written in. that can give space to the idea of an industrial revolution and also the concept that dna itself is another language used to embue the gold that therefore evolved somehow naturally. rant aside this is so cool!

Like iron or silver, maybe iron or silver could cancel or focus the enchantments of gold and maybe precious materials like gems or crystals could make enchantments more powerful or alter them somehow? I was wondering, what happens to an Ornata if they break a bone? Well one of their golden bones at least? Perhaps the gold inside them acts like normal cells and allows for proper healing? Maybe you could expand on the body horror with breaks or fractures leading to spurs and golden growths on the damaged bone? Maybe even in the case of a regular bone being broken they might be healed with gold, kind of like biological Kintsugi?

I know I’m getting over exited but are the alchemists diferent in each culture or are they kinda international or an in between ? Also are they like loved or hated by the public?

I feel like for it to be difficult to harvest without killing the Ornata, the gold should be pretty hard to break, pretty much impossible, without removing it from the root source aka killing them. The gold isn't destroyed, the organs connected to it are. *shudder* lol

If the bones have growths that protrude outside the body, can those be inscribed and used intuitively by ornata?

Meta comment here. Dude; dont focus too much on golden bone! While it is a highly performing video, its not the subject of the video that caused this growth; and such should not be as influential to your channel's future. What held up your video (in my personal, very likely flawed, opinion) was the creativity and production quality behind it. Admittedly, these are very vague points, but are intentionally so... What i fear is you spend the nest few months/year working on golden bow (very likely immediately lucrative, justifiably so) but by the time the golden bone has to end, "switching" to different topics will be very difficult/disheartening. Building on these vague points allows your channel to grow as much as you want it to, and as little as you want it to by restricting how much golden bones you have vs. other world building/doodling/production videos you could make.

I feel like the Ornata concept is way to good to not be stolen Gold being a metal closely associated with magic components and enchantabilety esspecialy in DnD makes it, a thing wich can not thruely be claimed as belonging to you alone I am having hard time judging were inspiration stops and stealing starts
