Oh - and can’t you make an agent friendly version (start at page 6, remove prologue) and then when u get the agent you just stick it back in ? Or will the beginning not make sense that way ?
i mean I think you could, but most agents ask for the first pages, so from what I've heard, it's best not to skip around - not sure though, still figuring it out (:
Ah I see - wishing u all the luck in getting an agent, because once that hurdle is over the agent can just tell u what they want and you won’t need to wonder 😬 since they probs all have preferences too so it’s hard to make a one size fits all 🙈
I'm knee-deep in the trenches so I'm feeling all of this. You probably have already heard of QueryShark but it's a great resource for writing queries and having them critiqued anonymously. My query letter is constantly evolving depending on the latest advice/critique I receive. I always think the New Year should be moved to mid-January, lol! Don't beat yourself up, you're already super productive, like you said, you need that time to think/refill the well and the creativity will follow.
Found you during Nanowrimo and you are quickly becoming one of my favorite RU-vidrs to watch! it’s fun, and honestly inspiring, to see you work toward your goals & dreams every week! 🤍🤍
