Colleen, something I've been wanting to say: It is so okay to mourn the loss of an experience that you hoped to have. You wished to hold your babies in your arms and greet them to the world, and to share their first holidays in the place they'll call home. And sadly that experience was taken from you and you had to learn how to adapt and adjust. It is okay to be disappointed and mad at the world and at the situation. You are brave and you are a fighter and every day that you get through is one day closer to that dream life that you are waiting for. I love you. We all do. You've got this mama

7:02 Any other NICU parents cry when seeing that clip of her feet walking through the hallway? I can so vividly remember the feelings of that walk between the elevator and the NICU entrance. On the way to the unit, it felt like the longest walk of your life...so much anticipation at seeing your baby. You feel like you could explode. Leaving the unit, that walk to elevator is a killer. So sad, so tired, so hard to leave. Three years later and I choked up seeing this clip.

Hi Colleen! I've noticed something with Maisy and I'm sure you already know this because you're an awesome mama. My second baby had reflux and slept with her mouth open similar to Maisy. We found out that she had a tongue tie. Her tongue wasn't reaching and SEALING to the roof of her mouth. Which is super important for feeding. It also helps to shape the roof of their mouth, otherwise they will have a high arch and become mouth breathers. It impacts so much of their development and I wish I knew more about this with my second early born baby :) Snoring in babies isn't a good thing and we found out the hard way :( SO SO happy for you and sending lots of love!

When you started singing to Mazie, my son who was born the day before the twins, snuggled in and fell asleep. You're doing great with pumping, being involved with Flynn, and spending time with the twins. You are an amazing mom and your kids are lucky to have you and your husband.

I’ve been going through a lot in the past month or so and I’ve been crying a lot and even though it’s for very different reasons, it’s weirdly comforting to feel like you’re crying with someone. Hi Colleen, I’m a NICU momma too, and when my babies weren’t with me it was the hardest thing in the whole world. My daughter came two and a half months early so she had to stay in the NICU for a very long time. I just wanted to tell you that it will get easier so so so soon. I know all any mother would want is to hold their newborn baby and feed them. I know it can be hard but you will get through it. Just remember that it won’t be like this forever and eventually (although it may feel like forever) you will have both your beautiful babies at home and safe in your arms. Stay strong ❤️

Girl I love hearing you talk about all of the baby blankets, it makes me feel so connected to you. I also sleep with a baby blanket AND stuffed animal from my childhood every night and I’m 25. Best friends across the country!!!

Just Like Adele did. Colleen could try to write a ballad. On piano, this time (skip ukelele). Simple. Soulful. Heatfelt. Just to cope. Some of the best stuff comes out of that for writers. No rush, tho. Adele took 6 years. But, just heard Maisie Joe at the very end. Which was super cute!

I very rarely get teary eyed watching things but I got this lump in my throat and tears in my eyes before I even relized, the moment they put up the stockings. I don't know why, but I think that's when my brain finally actually realized that they are a family of five now!

hi colleen, first of all i love you. you have seriously gotten me through so many hard times. this May my mom got diagnosed with lung cancer which has been extremely hard for our family and her as well. you were the one thing everyday when i would get home from dance me and my mom would watch you and laugh cry and smile with you Flynn and eric. soon after my mom got diagnosed i had to leave for college in new york and now live across the country from her which has been so hard but you are the one thing that makes me feel safe and like i’m back at home watching you on my couch with my mama. i just wanted to say thank you for being there for me even when you don’t even know me. i think you are so incredibly strong and i really admire you and your love for people especially your family. your vlogs really get me through my days so i wanted to say i’m so grateful for you and thank you🤍
