Hello friends, today I am starting the process of writing my first fantasy novel! I have been feeling extremely hopeless lately and the thing that really gets me out of this slump is to do things that get me excited and bring me joy! I am studying the book called "The Anatomy of Story" by John Truby and it has been helping to plan out my first fantasy novel!
In this video I take you along for a couple of days as I try to organize a couple of fantasy novel stories I have in my mind. I share with you some of these ideas and you'll see me go through trying to dig into all of these ideas and set on one story I want to really focus on and write. Hello friends, today I am starting the process of writing my first fantasy novel! Yessss please write a cozy fantasy story with your beautiful illustrations sprinkled through it! That will be amazing! I'm already hooked... what happened to her sister?? What does she discover in this fantasy realm?? Now I have to know! 😊 I have a document on my computer with writing ideas too so it was fun for me to see you go through these book exercises. I would love more videos like this one! I definitely go through ups and downs with my happiness/motivation so I understand that! It's wild how much it can color our views of ourselves, our projects, our relationships, everything. Sometimes I can find ways to pull through it and sometimes I just need to rest, be gentle with myself and wait for my positivity to return naturally. I am extremely excited that you are excited!!! ☺️🫶🏼 Tgere has been so much brewing in my head about this story and I am glad I am finally sitting down and working through all these ideas and see what really makes sense for this story! The “what she discovers at this magical place” and “what happened to her sister” I already know those things! 🫢 but definitely need to work some details out! Thank you for the encouraging words, friend. Yes, I often struggle with feelings of anxiety or feeling unmotivated but I try to take my time and work through those feelings. I have always wanted to write a book and your words really resonated with me! I feel like i've had so many ideas but it's been almost impossible for me to get started with actually writing or planning. It doesn't help when life gets in the way 🥲

I completely feel this. This has been one of my biggest struggles. Too many ideas all at once! Which I suppose is better than no idea of what to write lol. What helped me was to make a list of all of my book story ideas and I tried to see if I could combine some of them. Asking myself if some of these storylines could possibly live in the same world. Then I would either combine some or don’t and choose a story that I felt super excited and passionate about the most and go from there ☺️🫶🏼

I really LOVE that you're sharing this process with us!! as someone who enjoys the behind the scenes process and seeing how things are made this is immensely enjoyable to watch. 🖤✨ i love the storyline of Magia discovering a world she's only heard in legends, if i may suggest for Magia to be *excited* about this fictional land being real? what i mean is in Paola Santiago's series, in the beginning Paola wasn't happy about her "moms stupid leyendas" being real, and that made me so sad. if the magical worlds we've grown up learning about turned out to be real id be SO. HAPPY.! ive found a lot of stories lately where the mc denies denies denies and doesn't dare to believe in the magic at first. id personally love an mc that jumps head first and wants to learn everything there is to learn (maybe to a fault?!) 🧙🧚 sorry to hear you've been stuck in a slump lately 🥺 i hope you're feeling better now! is it weird that i almost DMd you to check in on you? lol 😬 i kept telling myself that you were probably busy getting the next video ready and you'd post any moment, *manifestation* ☺

Gloria!! So glad to hear you like seeing the behind the scenes of creating my first fantasy book! Please offer as many suggestions as possible throughout this entire process. Love to bounce ideas and see what comes about! I love the idea of Magia possibly being excited about this magical place. I have played around with this and trying to see what that would look like for my story. Maybe she can believe in this magical place but because of her “responsibilities” she has never given herself the space to fully go and look for this place herself not until now that her sister has gone missing?? Hmm definitely will ponder on this! 🤔 I think your right about a change for once where the MC actually does believe in it! Thank you Gloria!!
