I started learning Cpp and OpenGL few weeks ago, and everytime I feel tired and bored I watch either yours or tokyospliff's streams. Gives me sudden boost of curiosity to build some cool stuffs and learn more.
You are the fastest developer I’ve seen to move around the code base with the mouse and VS Code. Normally we see this level of mastering the tools by VIM and Emacs gurus only. It’s very interesting to watch a different work flow once and a while, great work very enjoyable 👍
@@sudolovemebaby vim motions normally shine with keyboard driven workflows, and I understand why they feel odd to you because you are very fast by switching between the mouse and keyboard I think mastering va code shortcuts like the Ctrl-d for multi curse and Ctrl-p to jump between files would be more efficient for you
Here I am jealous of you guys who have at least the basics down of VIM/neoVIM; I've tried switching over to it multiple times but it just seems like too much to configure compared to any X11 shell + zsh/extensions. And although I'd normally just ignore it I guess I'll take the troll bait...to the comment above me; trying too much at what exactly? Your comment is showing your age.
@@Fried-Tofu I think the first step in switching is actually learning Vim motions inside your favorite editor. Once you are familiar with moving with them then you can try pre-configured distro like LazyVim and then change the configuration to your liking step by step, but having the ide experience in your terminal from day one
good to see a game engine dev using vscode and not vs. it has become very easy to containerize dev envs in vscode. --- i spent 5 hours to draw a triangle in vk, feels good to see a pro doing soo much in the same 5 hours. thanks for streaming your coding - really helps me to keep going knowing that i have company.
More than you think. Two years ago I went to a coding competition for high-schoolers, where you could choose your own language. I was pretty shocked to see the gender ratio was like 70% female. And most of them were coding in C++ / C.
loneliness is a really big thing for ''enthusiasts''. I really love languages, from natural to programming languages (and much more), but it is really hard to find people that also like those things.... It is kinda of sad, sometime.
So cool! I have finished my last advanced C++ class and I finished data structures. Unfortunately, I don't practice enough, so I am not an amazing coder. Best of luck! I will be following fo sho! 😊
@@sudolovemebaby Until I get to your (C++ god) level, I will be using C++ in Unreal Engine 5.4. I love it. It's amazing. Been using Unreal for three months. I think it motivates me to use C++ more often. You are so inspiring. I would even like to start a channel.
What a genius woman you are🧐. Not all women are interested in computers, but you are interested in programming😱. And not just any programming, but writing a complete game engine from scratch😯. I am impressed. You have amazed me🤯. Never stop doing that.😍🥰😘 >New Subscriber
02:36:00 Tutorial hell means some people who want to learn programming, instead of reading a book or read documentation, and then write code, and write more code and then write even more code untill they learn; they spend hours and hours just watching youtube videos, or online courses without writing any code. They spend months and even years this way and they dont learn anything. They even cannot write simple programs.
юзать гитлаб по своему желанию а не потому что вуз заставляет - это куда импрессив чем свой энджайн (а если серьезно то почему гитлаб, можно было бы во все тяжкие пойти и гитверс от сбера)
Same. But then you need to study biology and gene editing. Programs in PC are human made, virtual stuff, while there's so much undiscovered about humans, we yet learn virtual stuff that is updated regularly and has no much meaning. Once you learn about DNA and it's coding, it's based on facts, idk does God push updates
