Sandy Kreisberg, founder of HBSGuru.com, and Alula Eshete, a first-year MBA student at Harvard Business School and product manager for The Harbus, discuss the value of The Harbus' new Essay Guide for applicants
The hate against sandy is so interesting. As much as I like Alula, Sandy’s being informative and educational since the video is less about them having a discussion and more about lecturing on how to write hbs essay. And to be fair, when sandy cuts Alula off, it’s when Alula spewing out pc bs in a circuitous way.
why does the old man keep cutting the student off when he's trying to explain the essays? Comes off as an annoying know it all. Let the student get his thoughts across then offer your input...you're old enough to know how that works, right?
you mean where people let each other finish their thoughts? why yes, I have been in a conversation. By the way, this is not just a "conversation". This is an analysis to help us learn what makes a strong essay. If two people are involved in the analysis, we should hear what both have to say without one trying to hijack the discussion with an "I know more than you" attitude, which is what this old hack did.
Why on earth did you invited that consultant?? Next time invite a smart guy so that he will say something meaningful! We wanted to hear the student not the meaningless comments of that consultant!
