Shalom ...I absolutely was touched by this ....So precious this man and his story. He speaks from the heart and they reached my heart. May you be blessed.
beautifully done and so touching! this made me feel so much love and respect for my fellow brothers and sisters of the Jewish faith! i am a Christian, and just wanted to say God bless you!
Wait. What? How can the Catholics consider themselves brothers to Jews and Sons of Abraham when they have butchered the texts from their own language and distorted their meanings and intentions on purpose while burning scriptures in the very Holy Land itself and persecuting the People of The Book? Not to mention that Christianity as a whole has abandoned Israel for other countries and established their headquarters in Rome, Constantinople, St Petersburg, literally anywhere except for the Holy Land. Only the ones who refused to leave and maintained the traditions of the Levant legitimately cared about the integrity of the scriptures and they are ignored by the rest of Christianity. Many Jewish laws were thrown away by Paul that comprised Christianity as a Jewish sect and made it a religion that just talked of Jews.
@@hyperion3145 what a ridiculous understanding of the formation of Christian theology and worship... The first Christians worshipped in the synagogue until they were kicked out by the rabbinic Benedicts being amended to the curse Jesus of Nazareth and his followers. The apostles also worshipped in the Temple, until Rome went and destroyed it. Also, Christian (including Catholic!) Scholars study Hebrew. Hebrew is required in Catholic seminary. But okay, to off on something you don't understand.
looks so beautiful, wish I knew the language so I can become an apprentice in old age aswell, I'll try writing the Torah in a language I know, just for myself
I tell people to use the First Hebrew Primer by EKS to start out with. Also get a good Tanakh in Hebrew. I’ve used the JPS Hebrew-English Tanakh most often. A lot of people recommend the Koren Tanakh also. It’s a different English translation. Try your best!
This situation is possible. For the ones who r seeking there own curiosities and wonders and great works of literature from Jewish scholars both secular and non secular. Only a thought of mine for this moment.
Dear Management, Good day. It is my pleasure and honor to send this letter to you. I would like to give you some pictures and hopefully you can provide me with some information. This manuscript dates back to the Ottoman period and is written in ancient Hebrew. I am looking for someone who translates the language and extracts a certificate from it. If possible, publish it in one of your opening articles and be part of your group. Thank you very much for the respect, appreciation and fruitful work of mankind. I like that you only have to bury the sheet if you make a mistake. I kinda thought you wrote the Torah all at once and if you make one mistake, you gotta start all over again. Only burying the page makes it much more reasonable
I'm confused. I just saw a video about torah scribes and that sofer said the scribe can't wear gloves while scribing...there can't be a barrier between the scribe and the torah but he is wearing gloves.
@SH'VA BENYACOV Thank you so much. I have been trying to educate myself more about the "hypertechnical rules." While I really wish I were able to be observant, as a lawyer I really enjoy learning about the rules and the interpretations of the rules.
@@Familylawgroup Why are you asking a yanki about torah scriptures?! Nfl ,kenobi, john wayn are theirs ,torah and hebrews scriptures have nothing to do with them
@@messianic_scam Torah belongs to the WORLD. The Jews use the Torah scrolls as a crucial part of their faith. That faith has nothing to do with American sports teams or actors. By your logic, only Americans could eat a hamburger since that is an American dish. The Jewish faith was a springboard faith for Muslims and Christianity and Catholicism. Over the eons, the Jewish diaspora has resulted in us living in every country in the world. Regardless of where we live, our faith has continuity in its recognition of the Torah as being the written representation of the actual words from G-d. G-d doesn't have a passport -- faith doesn't either. I don't understand why you believe this scribe is a Yankee and then why you believe this "Yankee" is disqualified from using, reading, meditating on and lovingly duplicating the books central to his faith. Other than the question about the use of gloves, everything else I heard in this video is consistent with the many other videos about torah scribes around the world...including the first female scribe.
when I began I was called a painter, as I made many strokes while writing any letter. as I got more experienced I became able to more consistently write each letter with minimal time and strokes. This is important because if one writes quickly he can save a lot of time. And our time is limited.
I would love to know how long it takes Epstein to write an entire Torah scroll. I know that the first task a newly anointed king of Israel was to do in the first 6+ months of his kingship was to write the Torah scroll for himself without blemish. I'd love to know more
@@CoryJBoling Wow, look how history how torah used to be sacred written by holy devout ahbars rabbis ended up to be written by yanki doesn't know what goes with what
