Writing Your Artist Statement 

I have no idea how to express myself when writing. I can see what I need to say inside my mind but I could never get it out. I am a local artist from a small town and I’m finally getting the local University’s attention and I need to write an artist’s statement-this is a great start. Especially the part about gettin away from “why I make art”. Thank you, sir. I will do my best. Peace and love to all. Keep creating.

so grateful to have discovered you and this wealth of information! question, im beginning work on building my website, im struggling with my artist statement some of my work is beautiful landscape inspired by light and weather, with no message, other than time of place. however I've been working on some commissions for a public institution that does have a message . i would like somewhere to talk about these messages, but they don't pertain to all works. id also like to talk about my process. how do i do both? do i write separate statements about those works that have a political message in the gallery? any suggestions or advice thank you so much!!
