Very great advise. I actually did this 30 years ago. What I've found since then is that as long as I keep Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as the center of all I say and do and realize that their will be done and not mine, then my life has gone much smoother with less hardships.
I wrote myself a letter while serving a mission 15 years ago and am going to open it this December. Maybe I shouldn't have set such a long date. I know the Lord is in all the little details of our lives and he has a plan for each of us.

This is the exact thing that my husband and I needed to hear. I recall writing letters to my future self when I was a missionary in Norway. Those letters would help bring me encouragement when times felt dark and helped me realize how much I have grown since my last letter. I am grateful for those letters that I have wrote and would gladly like to write a letter to my future self again. :)
Hi Stuart, what an inspiring task. I listended to motivational speakers but have never been told to do this. I've just written my letter to myself and will open it on the 2oth December. I can do this every 4-6 moths and just keep replying to myself and see where I go with it. Thanks brother.
Love it!! I wrote myself a letter 8 years ago to open it this year on my birthday and it’s given me much joy to read my 11 year old self and receive encouragement to serve an LDS mission

I wish I could post pictures! I have met Stuart Edge twice and his cousin. He is so awesome! His videos don't even show how cool of a person he is. Everyone has unique stories in life and God IS there working in our lives!
Thank you for this. I cannot believe it. God’s timing is everything. I had prayed for some sort of sign and also how to inspire a friend of mine how to move forward from a health setback. And also what would happen for me in the future since this pandemic has almost obliterated my industry. It’s amazing just how fast Our Heavenly Father answers us.
Excellent! Similar experience here, but in different ways. I remember hearing the primary song play in my head, “A Child’s Prayer.” I had to learn over again that it’s Heavenly Father’s time-table, not mine. But, the MOST IMPORTANT principle I learned was that I had to also remember that I was here to receive counsel from The Lord and NOT to counsel Him. Thanks for posting this video.
This is great I remembered years ago doing this in Relief Society activity night and they gave us the outline plan to start writing to ourselves. It was interesting at that time so we all started along the way we did not keep up to it. Reading this today remind me to go back and find these notes I wrote and to continue doing it. Thank you for this inspiration message that helps us understand to do something like this for our children to read and our grandchildren or great grandchildren or our generations to come. Thanks again. I like listening to your message today that inspired me to do so.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It has given me hope that up rooting my wife and kids from the house and city that they call home will be the right thing to do. I too have gotten impressions since Covid started back in Feb that I needed to make some big changes in my life. With those changes in place I have felt the spirit more in my life and the Lords hands guiding me to the path that I can not only help my family but also other extended family members to prepare for his glorious Second Coming. It was not easy. It took faith and hope through the hardship of repentance, and courage to invite extend family members, who have left the Church for years, to come back to the Gospel that their Grandparents and Pioneer heritage sacrificed so much for. I continue to be led by the Lords hands and now the Lord has softened my wife’s heart and has helped her understand that He (the Lord) is leading me and that I’m not this crazy man. It’s funny 😊 there were times where I got glimpses of how Lehi must have felt when he had to up root his family and comfort his wife Sariah during their journey in the wilderness.

Thanks, Stuart for the letter you wrote. I made a list. I wanted to pass a driving test. The last on the list was to drive a car. So what you said has inspired me write a letter.
Stuart , You're the man bro! I remember your positive attitude at the Celebration Center (how's that for a blast from the past). Seeing you go from there to becoming the creator of one of my favorite RU-vid Channels is very inspiring. Especially as a fellow latter-day saint who wants to make a living in the entertainment industry (though in a slightly different way than you). Thanks for being an inspiration and good example.
Thank you for such an inspiring video. I attribute hope, to God, They go together and what a powerful Testimony that you have borne of hope. In the LDS Church, we do have an understood assignment to archive our lives, Journal writing and keeping. What a healthy and wholesome practus and blessing for our posterity. Great idea! I should write myself letters too. We might not ever be temporally successful in life, but I know that God loves each of us, and he hears, and answers heartfelt prayers. He will strengthen us to get through life's trials.

Bravo! Another inspirational message from Hope Works, boy I just love this channel, this is exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you for the lovely reminder and for being a great example of steadfastness. Even something as simple as staying the course and being still, can be a big ask if it is not something one is accustomed to. This presentation sends a beautiful message that God is mindful of us and he knows what we are carrying.
I didn’t really watch the video, but this topic is very interesting. I started writing letters and emails to myself to read in the future about 14 years ago when I started experiencing depression and anxiety as a teenager. It’s been nice to see how life evolves and amazing to see how fast time goes by - a reminder that everything bad/good is very transitory. I’ll read my next email on November 21!

I wrote a letter to myself when I was still 17 and plan to read it when I become 30. I experience a lot of challenges in my life that really tested me. One time while pondering, I remember that letter and read it even if I'm still not 30. Reading it gives me comfort and inspire me not to give up on whatever failures. That 17 year old girl motivated me to continue on my journey of becoming who and what I want to be when I become 30.
You made lots of little good choices. You were a force for good even when you were cleaning those porta poties. One million views or nine. You’re a good man who obviously always tries to follow the spirit:) that is evident. That makes all the difference ! not to mention you were a great home teacher. I wrote to myself when I was in first grade to my fifth grade self. When I read the letter it said “it is hot here and maybe then it will be hot too” that is exactly what I wrote and that made me crack up! I’m going to definitely write to myself!
Thank you for sharing this, its true the Lord knows us better than we know ourselves. If we listen to his voice he will guide us. I will try to cut the radio and replace it with inspirational talks, and so forth.🙏🏿
I wrote myself a letter back on April 1. I don’t remember what was on it except one burning question. Although it’s personal, I feel someone very important in my life that I haven’t met is coming soon. I can’t wait to meet her.
