I envy people who already had a license and money when all those 650, 1100 and above were coming out. I do suffer from nostalgia and will get one eventual after I pass mine 😅
Small set of risers may put you back a bit further for your height and tilting the bars a bit back so your but sits in the saddle better ,other than that get a small peice made by an auto upholsterer like the new dyna low rider has for people with cute butts
+Michael Werbovetz (81GMC2500) - 5th gear at 60mph is almost too low, it likes to cruise at 65-75. It's like riding a vstar 1100 with a 6th gear! Very nice on the highway and plenty of giddy-up above 1200-1300 rmp. Really good bike for the money if you can find a low mileage one for under $4500 or so.
Michael Werbovetz I have a 1300 and it don't need a 6th gear. 5th gear easily runs 90mph all day long with ease. Top speed in 5th gear is around 135-140mph
Sitting at the light next to one of my Harley-Davidson friends he noticed how little mine was moving at idle compared to his. I don't have any issue with my hands 'buzzing' at the end of a long day. My longest day so far has been about 975~ miles from northeast Massachusetts, to eastern North Carolina.
lol...mid to late 1970's Charlie's Angels music, and poor video quality of the same period...I have to keep checking it this was a 2008 model bike! But you missed an all important feature of this bike... its innovatative all aluminum frame and how it effects handling and ride. Nope, others in this category were not doing it. Yes pull back risers would make it better for short torso riders.
ke98248 This was shot in 2008 before HD video cameras were available, that's why. This was the best that was available in a "pro-sumer" camera at the time. We've come a long way in seven years!
