My Certified Copiess! AIR 6 CA Finalss!!!
Cracking CA Finals and achieving AIR 6 wasn't just about studying hard; it was about mastering the exam strategy and understanding how to navigate the exam hall effectively!
In my latest RU-vid video, I take you through my journey and answer some of the most pressing questions that many of you have been asking:
- 📚 95 Supplementaries: How did I manage to tackle such a significant number of supplementaries?
- 🤔 Alternative Answers: Does ICAI give marks for alternative answers? The answer might surprise you!
- ⏰ Time Management: How did I plan my 15-minute reading time effectively and distribute the 3-hour exam time to ensure I covered every question thoroughly?
- 📝 Question Coverage: What was my approach to ensuring I covered every question to the best of my ability?
- 🔄 New Question Strategy: How did I approach a new question during the exam?
- 🎯 Quality vs. Quantity: Which is more crucial, quality or quantity, when it comes to answering exam questions?
Key Insights:
1. Quality vs. Quantity: I firmly believe that quality always trumps quantity. It's better to write 80 marks with quality than to attempt 100 marks with compromised quality.
2. Alternative Answers: ICAI does give marks for alternative answers, especially in practical subjects like DT and IDT.
3. Sequence of Answers: While you must attend all parts of a question at the same place, you have the flexibility to choose the sequence. If you miss a part, make a note and attempt it at the very end.
4. 15-Minute Reading Time: Start from the last question and work your way backward, deciding your sequence in advance.
5. 3-Hour Exam Time: Begin with easy and small questions, progress to easy and big, then tackle tough and small questions, saving tough and big questions for last. Always keep Q1 for the end.
6. Time Allocation: Don't stick rigidly to 1.8 minutes per mark; instead, allocate time question-wise. Aim for 25-30 minutes per question and 30 minutes for MCQs.
7. Approaching a New Question: Write down everything relevant that you can recall about the topic. Examiners won't penalize you for providing extra information!
