Thank goodness for workers like you to sort out these sort of problems. Were there only Brown jobs present, or were there fat burgers present as well? If you were not around to clear up these types of messes, then we would all end up in the sh*t.
It is pretty amazing to see how effectively the sewers clear out the sewage (once the clog is gone), mostly just with gravity! Nice video! (Oh, and your manhole-lifter is clever! I bet it has saved your back many times over already!)
Massive manholes hold tons of water so that weight of water really gets things going once the flow of water starts happening. The manhole lifter gadget is a hernia saver. lol
It probably wouldnt do much in this case, but in some cases it would make a difference, every litre of water is 1KG. The more water in the manholes, the more weight there will be pushing on the blockage. I have managed to clear blockages before just by fulling up the manhole with water as the water weight just pushes the blockage
Still has some blockage imho, 6” pipe with that depth of water should have dropped rapid. Hydraulic lifters for block paved deep lids are available, HSS have them for hire. Used them so many times we bought 1.
With all the homes draining to this main manhole, I expected it to take even longer to drain down. If all the residents had filled a bath and let it go at once, that would purge the system.
M.V.H Frode Valderhaug
I can. If he customer wants us to map out their drainage system, we will CCTV survey the pipe work, spray paint the direction of the pipes on the floor, we then get the map drawn on autocad and we hand that over to the customer. However it would be a survice they need to pay for. It would take me about 3 days to map and CCTV that particular site so the costs would add up quickly. If you look on the right hand side of my jetter you will notice the cans of road marking paint that I use. Cheers
@@eurodrainrat9659 My idea was a little simpler. When you see where the drainage goes, just mark it on the inside of the manhole. That way, if you and your colleagues have to come back, you'll know you were there before and won't have to go through the search process again.
