@@Spiderdude93 it's because the GBA was notorious for having a sound chip that was absolutely terrible for music. You COULD make good stuff with it, no doubt, but making poor, garbled sound was more common at the time. The DS has a notably superior sound system, so the DS is the clarinet here, while the paper is the GBA. I like both renditions though, they're both great
@@TheRealBlazingDiamond The GBA was also terrible at doing low tones--as in, the speakers would literally BURST INTO FLAMES if you tried to do them, as Rare found out when trying to port DKC2 and DKC3 to the GBA--so music on the GBA tended to rely a LOT on high pitched, shrill sounds instead, which didn't help with its reputation of sounding lousy.
Imma be completely honest, everyone in the comment section is pointing out that, others how the "you can't play music with a piece of paper" refers to the gba and all of that but I never Intended for that nor did I know it was on A minor since I know nothing about music lol. This is something I did at 5:53 in the morning that took 20 minutes because I was bored and everyone in the comments making me feel like i am some sort of comedy genius
@@johnwickfromfortnite9506 They say genius is often misunderstood. Apparently, this rule applies here. You were a genius for making this edit and didn't even realize it.
@@chuch0412 I actually dislike it for it removes the tragic part of the original track because of the piano that was in there, hence for me it's the version I like to listen to the least.
I do was a Megaman X fan more than anything else (even if I was playing Starforce at that time and got me hooked by the gameplay, still preferred the X series)but, once I started with the Zero series I just love it. It was so much that once I finished them I got right to ZX and ZXA, yet Zero is indeed my favorite to play at any time (I'm trying to get on BN on a real GBA now but I still looking to get the full Zero series. I own a Z2 cartridge for the moment)
The Zero and ZX series has always been my favorite. I remember when I was little getting my first video game console (The Nintendo DSi XL) and my very first game, MegaMan ZX. I remember not knowing at the time that pressing up let's you go through doors so I kept (somehow joyfully) playing through the beginning of the game over again thinking that was how long video games normally are. That was until I accidentally pressed up on the door. The feeling I got when Vent went through the door was the equivalent of going to sleep in the present day and waking up in the early 2000's _💀_. Nowadays I'm more of a Sonic and Dragon Ball type of guy, but the MegaMan Zero/ZX series will always have a special place in my heart.
I don't blame you. My native language is spanish And when I was a kid I did not know where to go in ZX due to a language barrier and not knowing what the characters were saying so for an entire month I got lost but I still played it and sometimes resetting the game just to do the tutorial boss again also thinking that's the end of the story. Somehow I managed to beat it but It wasn't until I was on my 20's that I replayed it and Actually understood the story
My boy, I was in ESL classes back in elementary school when Pokemon Silver had came out...took me a couple days to finally save my game. I had no idea what "Overwrite" was so I kept hitting No 😂
the only problem i have with all cannonball remixes is the exclusion of the piano part. The piano gives so much emotion to the overall battle, i enjoy how ZX gives an entire new energy by using an organ.
dunno if it's a controversial take but, i prefer the gba soundfont version over the mythos ver. because it goes for a melancholic piano instead of epic guitar sounds.
I enjoy all versions but the melancholic piano is perfect for what that battle stood for. "My body may be a shadow of what I once was. It may be a copy but in the end, there is only one Zero. Me."
No offense, but if I had to pick between more MMZ and more Gunvolt...I'd still take the Gunvolt any day. That being said, if we _did_ get an MMZ5 made by IntiCreates, I 100% would not complain.
@@wdg2384 Yup, remaking the games is a really good idea. (And maybe Capcom wouldn't drop it dead like Powered Up or Maverick Hunter X) The timeline ended with Zero 4 so the probability of a Zero 5 is pretty much impossible and its existence would be a disrespect for the character.
I dunno how a remake would work exactly. They've long passed the artstyle of the era; aswell as the wave of experimental mechanics and gameplay that had passed throught the series. I think any new megaman game is probably gonna play things much safer and forget the positive tidbits of the games, sadly. No mmz2 modes; no mmzx open world style (actually they prolly would add it, but forget to make it mean much), Mmz4 stuff was alreader butchered with debuffs and nerfs, but it could be refined if given careful thought, though I think theyd either ignore it or just copy it. Cyberelfs will prolly be barebones or nonexistent. Cyberelfs were weird but they added a lot to the game. Cyber elfs still have potential too, they werent used nearly to the fullest as they coulda been. With new hardware like the switch, many things are possible. But anything new with them would prolly and up a lame mini game. But there is one thing we can agree on. No more insta death spike bs areas would be great! If they take notes from hollow knight; even better! What do yall think would happen to the series?
I don't think Megaman Zero needs a remake, 16 bit sprite games tend to be timeless. Just look at indie metroidvania games, what we need on the other hand is a sequel to the ZX games. Since unlike Megaman Zero, ZX Advent left on a cliffhanger.
Glad to see this game still had people who care about it, also this is hilarious. Sorry ZX but when they add onto the Zero music through the Rockman Zero Remastered Tracks, RMZR Idea, RMZR Telos, RMZR Physis, Mythos, and Resonance, you kinda get kicked out of the park.
the mental image is very good. it's kind of like the difference in here's a gentle stroll and here's a fucking sprint like the Anpanman theme VS the drum track from When you're overqualified for the job. i was able to imagine the side scrolling hot moves flowing blond hair and saber blade slicing down enemies knocking down walls dashing while jumping and i guess i have an air dash. for spongebob's thet image went into 3D and the feeling of being surrounded and the speed it up increases the number and adds flyers and the megaman signature enemy of weird robots that jump out of death pits to shoot bullets at you, and the slowed down version i was on that bike from X2. i love having a good imagination that can see stuff like this and i want to learn 3D animation so i can show what i see to people.
