Seen here is Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue's Salford Station, responding to an unknown call in their local area. The station is usually on a 2 way street, but due to recent roadworks the street is now limited to one way.
As the diversion round costs valuable minutes, the Crews have worked with the construction teams to organize the moving of cones to clear the way when they need to respond against oncoming traffic as can be seen in the video.
The Scorpion is a Unique Fire Appliance manufactured by EmergencyOne, featuring a telescoping boom similar to those on Airport Fire Appliances. This adds an enhanced water tower capability and allows techniques for fighting fires such are warehouses with metal roofs. Piercing through with the spike on the tip, and spraying water inside to extinguish the fire where normally the roof would shield the flames from water.
