People don't understand, when there's someone who has never experienced death in anyway they are often ignorant. These videos are not only educational but eye opening to those who do no understand the real horrors that come with reckless driving. If you have a kid who speeds down the highway for fun, they will never care about the dangers without a first hand experience of what can happen. These videos give some insight into it. If I ever die in a car accident, I have no problem being filmed especially if there's a chance it'll create another conscientious driver on the roads. Do not be so ignorant as to say these videos are disrespectful, if anything they are respecting the lives lost enough to shine light onto the dangers of reckless driving. If you don't know what you're doing, you shouldn't have a license. Yes, the deaths are sad, but pretending death doesn't happen and that it isn't gruesome and scary creates an even bigger problem than addressing it head on.

I agree..I wish I can show this video to this idiot that loves to speed down our small residential street and do donuts and the drivers that speed past the stop sign as if they don't see it. These are people that live in my area and are oblivious to the laws of the highway. It's amazing nothing tragic or drastic has happened. I live right on the corner of this madness and pray every time I hear a screech of someone almost crashing because I don't want them to end up in my house. Often kids and families be walking across the street from picking their kids up from school. I be yelling hurry up get across, because these idiots don't stop

Your videos are excellent. BIG props to whomever edits your stuff. The zoom is definitely advantageous, and (as I've seen many), getting there early helps to ensure an educational experience. Your vids should be marketed to DUI programs nationwide. They're quality from A to Z. Thank you for providing the very REALITY that should NOT be contained behind pristene white sheets. My dad served as a career and / or volunteer firefighter for 40+ years. When I was getting my license, he sat me down (as serious as could be) and told me (in graphic detail) about some of the worst wrecks he'd ever seen over the years. He didn't need pictures or videos. He had those scenes THAT deep in his memory that what he said gave me complete mental images of it all. That conversation has stayed with me almost 20 years now. The firefighters may not remember every single detail, but they don't forget the horrors they see.

I think it only has a reverse effect on society to attempt to hide or mask fatalities. They should let ppl see what the consequences can be from making avoidable mistakes or bad choices. Plus it gives them something to look at for reference and review even use for training purposes like they do in sports. Have you ever considered a drone or mini camera you can place somewhere close but out of the way for those certain tough angles? Nice work still! Keep it up!

God, no matter how long you are a first responder having to extricate anyone who is deceased, especially the young ones gets to be really hard on the heart. I know this was 6 years ago, but no parent should EVER have to bury their kid, there never is “closure” or “healing” it’s just a constant never ending wave of heartache. Prayers for all families touched by this tragedy.
@ChadDidNothingWrong
@ChadDidNothingWrong Год назад
Depends on the department and the kind of people they hire. A little over half the police I ever had to work with were stone cold and it didnt phase them. They'd be joking around like normal while a mom and her kid were dead 10 feet away. It was a department culture thing-everyone would be that way. Not all departments were like that though. For example Dallas PD worked hard to keep people like that off the force, so those guys were great--truly respected the gravity of s scene like this....thankfully they all handled it well. This is a natural part of life that we are normally just sheltered from. But we are all designed to handle it.

@MJLeger-yj1ww
@MJLeger-yj1ww 5 лет назад
No it isn't, the firemen are trained in knowing how to get a pulse and determine who is dead and who is alive and who to extricate and evacuate quickly to save their lives, IF they are alive and savable. They know how to stop obvious bleeding and they are very kind to the victims, encouraging them to hang on, etc. What is sad, is that they have to see that nearly every day, somewhere.
@windwoman3549
@windwoman3549 5 лет назад
M.J. Leger There’s an entirely different vibe when they’re in triage mode as opposed to “everyone is dead” mode. My original comment stands.
@MJLeger-yj1ww
@MJLeger-yj1ww 5 лет назад
@@windwoman3549 Well of course, what do expect! It's very much like knowing you're going in for a rescue or a recovery, there's a big difference, even in varying lingo, department to department, area to area. All triage is handled according to the policies and procedures of the various people and institutions involved. It can change from area to area but the effort to save a life doesn't change, just the methods. Triage is merely a sorting between patients who can be saved and those who are beyond help, but first responders prefer to try to help ALL and leave it up to the doctors at the hospital to legally "pronounce." But they have the experience to be able to tell when there is no hope and their pace acts accordingly. They know alive from obviously deceased! In the ER, we may work on a patient for an hour trying to bring them back after there seems like there is no hope. Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose, but we have drugs that can make their heart beat, we can make them breathe with a respirator, give them drugs to stop the swelling in their brain and other methods we will try until there is absolutely no more hope; we hate to lose!

I was so glad the other drivers saw my mistake and slowed down or stopped. some even was concerned and ask was I okay. It's a very common mistake that nobody takes notice of

First time viewer of your channel. I've noticed it on other channels like yours, there's a look a cop has when he turns around and sees you. Every time, it doesn't matter the state ect. There's a look. After he has his look spasm, he does one of two things. Either walks over and tells the camera man to move, or he punks out and has someone bigger than him to tell you to move. Then keeps the flashlight pointed at the camera. He is power tripping with no power. He's a bad cop and needs to leave the force. I love the graphic parts. Sorry for all the loss of life. I had friends killed by a drunk driver it's a horrible thing.😂
@millieo7155
@millieo7155 5 лет назад
Five friends died in car accidents while I was in high school. This was when seat belts were new and not seen as important as they are now. Locking car doors helps prevent ejections. That said, if you cause a car accident because you were texting while driving, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, any impairment or distraction it's not just you being harmed. The people who see the devastion, torn bodies and cars, fires, you are adding ptsd/mental health, invisible stress they will carry forever. You cause that damage, you effect the quality of their life. It's not just you losing something. First responders get injured at accident scenes. It is imperative you realize you are not the only victim.

right? i never knew how common that was until i started watching these videos. ive seen it suggested time and time again that they should put those tire damage strips( cant remember what theyre called) to preventpeople from entering on the exits, i dont know why they dont do that, its an excellent idea, but one thing i have learned is to try to stay out of the fast lane, especially at night, becase thats the lane most wrong way drivers use, because they think theyre in the slow lane. These videos taught me alot.

This is immaturity with the flashlights and other things instead of controlling the scene in a respectable manner. I hope this footage was used in the training of the newer officers so it can be seen in how to assist instead of actions of a child's bad manners of not getting their way. Ok so I'm not 100% sure where that tire came from so I'm not gonna bag at the cop's until I know the whole story. However I will answer the fireman taking the pictures as this is something everyone should know and I recommend you use when needed. Any person who aided in any accident whether or not it is a fatality should take pictures because it covers your ass from being sued by the driver/passengers and/or the family of the driver/passengers. When it comes to something like this they always look for someone to blame! And it isn't just causing more injuries by mishandling but if they died before emergency crews arrived they can get you on that as well. Always protect yourself if you choose to help..

I think the main concern on the part of the officers and firefighters who were concealing the extrication and trying to keep the cameras away from the scene is deference to the family of the victims. No matter the circumstances, would you want to see a video of your loved one sitting deceased on the 5 freeway in his mangled car on RU-vid? It's not about dignity for the victim so much as for those he left behind, who are already distressed. Loudlabs shoots some great video, but it is simply not necessary to capture this level of detail in order to convey a story.

what i can tell here, so did the van driver over take with out checking rear mirror. youth was traveling in a high rate off speed about 100mph i would say to do that much damge to the car. he hit the back off that van, van plowed in the concreat barrier and vent on it's side. youths car keept on going straight. i think the youth car is modifed to have more horse power. doesn't look like a stock radiator. looks like a 400+ hp vehicles. so might been the reason to the high speed. just having fun on the road. that you shouldn't you should be on a track. and not on the streets as this shit happends. with pepole never checking the rear mirrors to estimate the persons speed behind. always check your mirrors before over taking. ps car hit the van at around 100mph but i think it was going alot faster before the driver started to break. probably pushing 140mph i would say.
