I remember those days of working on cars outside in the snow during a michigan winter. lol Gotta love it. You know you are a true Car Guy when you get out there and wrench in a snow storm.
On my 09 I put a Perrin 19mm adjustable bar. I had it on the middle setting. Since it was a non turbo I couldn’t put a bar in the front to balance it. But it made a world of a difference.
You should spray PB Blaster the night before when trying to remove bolts. 👍🤜🤛. Also, only use Blue Threadlocker on bolts you want to remove and get a torque wrench.
@@TheHumanCarJack right on. Thanks for all the great videos. I like how you are doing trial and error with different parts setups and letting us know what works and what works better. Kudos bro!
Would a exhaust void the warranty? I also live in Long island in deer Park lol new XT owner had a G8 but having a kid so wanted something bigger and safer
@@TheHumanCarJack one question my 2017 the steering feels a little heavy not bad but I feel a little heavier than the 2016 I test drove.. is yours the same way?
@@johnnatt4875 Yes, it does. Did it on my 2014 XT touring and made a huge difference. Just bought a new 2018 XT Touring and did upgrade at dealership while doing paperwork. No brainer mod.
Due to my search I got you. Haha, most don’t realize including you. At 20-30 mph it’s great but you will suffer control after 50 mph. Keep it stock! Save money! Push the sport mode simultaneously while flooring the gas pedal/ it’s not a race car but can definitely perform safely under appropriate driver! Stiffer Springs will make you jump! Turbo overboost on updates re breathers and CA gets a 91. Why doesn’t CA support 93 premium and sell new cars that advertise mpg savings with a 93 octane
Have you ever had one installed? Or springs? You sound like your trying to convince yourself you don't need them. Plus, what you said makes no sense. Your going to notice even more control with speed. And what do you mean push the sport button while flooring it? You sound so uneducated.. stop spreading misinformation
Jeremiah Goodwin I read what I wrote and I understand why it doesn’t make sense. It would make sense to somebody who knew what I’m talking about based on experience. Jeremiah It will take long to explain but I’ll do my best. 1) lowering a car will improve handling! But you need to adjust camber and toe! Totally ok just a stiffer ride. Front sway bar is ok, gives better response and feeling on steering. Rear sway bars can be dangerous is all I’m saying, if not properly tuned and even properly tuned under novice driver things will get out of hand quickly. With rear sway bar you will not have any warnings, your car will loose control and under cornering your traction control won’t be able to recover. If you lower your car you need to install items and test it one install at a time in order to learn your cars behavior. I only recommend coil-overs or your car will hop. Anyway lowering cars is for sport cars not Forester! Wear and tear will be high and just not worth it in my opinion. It’s not like yours could be a Manual as they r all CVT! It’ll cost close to or over 8500k to swap trannis! If you change a BOV or upgrade anything on the engine than your turbos will overboost regardless of how good your tune is or add intercooler and boost control but the CVT can handle 350hp and safe zone is 300hp. I’m not misleading anyone I’m just sharing my opinion. Next time ask a question like a man and you’ll get an answer/explanation. Good luck and I can always answer questions if you have any
