Back to a southwesterly wind. Very up and down in its strength. I spend a lot of time in the water practicing water starts (the water was really cold). I got three good ones, which I was stoked with, but the wind wasn't always playing ball.

humm you are able to water start so it must be windy but you are not getting up to speed. What sail size were you on?

I was on a 5.3 sail. Probably not enough for the conditions. I was having to wait for a gust to actually do the water start. So it wasn't overly windy.
