This happens so often but there is never proof. I am glad this guy has proof and I hope he wins the lawsuit.

Unfortunately we will be oppressed until we become loud just like what black people did with the whole BLM thing.

We are in the year 2024, and discrimination still occurs. This is the result of people lacking understanding on disabilities. The interviewer seemed to have preconceived notions about Deaf people which led him to not recommend the Deaf man for the position. I hope the news about the lawsuit goes viral because any and all businesses, hospitals, schools, etc. must realize it is time to stop discriminating people with disabilities. I hope the Deaf man wins the lawsuit.

There were a couple questions that were strange to ask in his final interview but it is important to know certain details like if the plaintiff will need an interpreter present at each shift which is extremely costly to do on a daily basis. I had a friend at my work who needed an interpreter from being deaf and it’s costed hundreds for half a day and became too costly unfortunately. Now the HR representative tried to remedy the situation and did admit that a couple questions the last interviewer said where not necessary or relevant. The problem is that shortly after the plaintiff immediately decided to file a complaint and sue. He went from 0-100 in the bunk of an eye. The HR representative was likely exploring ways to remedy the problem before this occurred. I explored this further and there really isn’t much beyond a couple questions in the final interview. It has become exceedingly easy for people to sue over anything in the US. Hopefully this gets sorted out

I would also add that the HR representative said he was very qualified for the job and that the third interviewer may have violated the disabled person’s treatment act the Braves and all other MLB teams carry. The third interviewer expressed concerns over possible communication barriers but that does not mean that it took precedent over his qualifications. It is 100% possible that if he seemed to remedy the situation and rectify the problem rather than escalate he would have been given another interview and likely would have gotten the position. He did not give the holdings company a chance to rectify the issue as I stated before.
